Add date to this Ideas list & marked as completed
I'm reading through some of these ideas and know that I can do what they suggest. maybe some of those are features of my keyboard or other customizations I have on my phone.
Also have Ideas marked as 'Done'
EXAMPLE: there is one asking about color coding a contacts messages in individual threads & groups. I do this already, but don't know when that was posted, and no way to alert the requester, not like in a threaded forum because in these idea boxes would get convoluted and long with multiple people making comments about how something is already done…1 vote -

please develop the Textra app for smart watches. we should be able to read messages as we can with native or manufacturer native messaging app.

Auto reply
Love to have the ability to set an auto reply so when you are available and auto reply would go to all senders

Show qty of people in all group messages
Right now, the quantity of people in a group message displays on the colored circle only if none of the people have a saved photo associated with them.
That qty number is super useful, and I'd like to always see it for all group messages. Right on top of the photos, or maybe as a subtext to the side.

reply to specific texts like on tictok..
i want to comment on specific texts. like in a group text, i want to reply to kim Text, and amy, i have to address them in my reply. like hi kim the text about... then hi amy, i like...
if i can reply to them specific text... like i can add an emoji 👍but i want to reply with text & more Emojis😉 like in chat forms & tictok

I'd like to be able to have the option to add a text count to contacts. So I can see that Jane and I have had 142 texts since the last time the counter was reset.

Slow Mode
When a group chat or text thread is getting lots of replies very quickly and your phone is vibrating non-stop, it would help to have a way to delay notifications for a certain period of time, e.g. get a single notification every 5 minutes that there's a new message, vs every individual message.

Scheduled time for sending
There are many times that I compose a message but I don't want to send it for several hours. For example, in the middle of the night, I compose a message and if I send the message it might wake someone up from their sleep. So, it would be nice to compose the message and then schedule the date/time to send it out, like 8 hours later. This would be fantastic.

Message Scheduling Ability
I had a messenging app before that allowed me to create a text to send later, at a day and time if my choosing. I loved that feature and would LOVE to see that offered with this app as well. Is that a possibility?

Folders or tabs.
Apologies just sent this to help instead of ideas. But folder or tabs to organize groups of people. For example I use my personal number in sales for customers. So If I could seperate customers from friends and families it would make keeping track of both a lot easier.. Currently I just pin customers to the top but It would be nicer to just have tab of sorts.

Swiping Options / Other Requests, Features
PLEASE ADD THE ABILITY TO CHANGE SWIPE OPTIONS (i.e. reply, read/unread, etc). otherwise, we have to long-press on the conversation in order to complete such tasks with the exception of call and delete which can already be done.
Also, please add option to customize avatars as far as size as well as having the ability to tap on contact image/avatar to process whatever task (ex. deleting multiple conversation versus having to long-press a conversation and so on.

viewing texts in the app from notifications
a toggle for viewing messages from the notification bar immediately in the full app rather than in a pop-up window and having to click "open app" to see other text threads.

Option to change conversation bubbles to different colors.
Have the option to change the conversation bubbles to different available colors after they have been sent or received without setting them as the default conversation bubble colors.

Chat/Bulk group indicator
There is no way to know whether group text is set to chat or bulk without going into settings. Have a switch appear anytime more than one recipient is added to a text, giving us the option right there. Keep that switch visible within the texting thread and place an indicator within our list of texts so we know which threads are bulk and which are chat.
