1. Disable or reduce sensitivity of swipe to exit a conversation

   When in a text conversation, it is too easy to accidentally swipe from left to right when scrolling and exit the conversation. I'd like for this to be less sensitive to diagonal swipes made when scrolling imperfectly or an option to disable the swipe to exit conversation feature for those of us that don't scroll perfectly straight up and down.

   Alternatively, if we are looking at an older part of the conversation, accidentally swipe to exit the conversation, and immediately re-enter the conversation, this would be less problematic if it remembered the position we were scrolled to

4. ability to withdraw feature requests.

   Even as familiar as I am with Textra after all these years, occasionally I miss something

   That happened just a short while ago when I put in a request for a way to flag messages with reminders. It turns out that I can share to amongst other things, Microsoft ToDo and Outlook making the need for my request largely irrelevant. It would be nice for the outlook information to pre-fill The subject line with something like "Message from Textra" and include the text on the body rather than ot simply attaching as a file but it does work well through MS ToDo. I haven't tested anything else yet like Google Keep which does invite some confusion with its name, or OneNote But either way it's safe to say that one of these many options will accomplish what I wanted to do.

   unfortunately once a feature request is put in, there's no way to withdraw it. I know I've done this before myself and I'm sure plenty of other people have done so as well... leading to yet another feature request... making it possible for us to edit and/or withdraw feature request after we put them in. lol

5. You need a proper message board.

   I can't say for sure how long I've been a Textra premium user. I think you could call me "Twice Grandfathered". lol

   I find it amazing that we have the ability to request features and search help files but you've never taken advantage of the fact that there are a good number of us out here that know your product well enough that providing a proper separate forum where plenty of people like me would be glad to volunteer would be able to respond to such requests letting users know how to access those features and manually combining similar threads which would drastically reduce the number of outstanding future requests.

   I have seen quite a few requests in the past to allow some of us to help moderate because like me, you have quite a few people that are passionate about Textra and want to help. Those of us are driven to offer to help...for free on each post that I've seen it, probably for the same reasons... Because we understand that reducing your workload and improving your overall customer satisfaction ultimately allows you to get us new features faster.

   It baffles me to see how to frequently you received offers to help in this area without advantage of it.

   If you simply don't have the time and resources to put towards it. I've considered launching an unofficial help board much like some of the unofficial Microsoft sites that always seem to generate much better and faster solutions than official channels do but something like that would do nothing to reduce The number of requests for features that already exist and wouldn't be accessible through the app which kind of defeats the purpose so I haven't bothered.

   If you don't have the time and resources to do something like that on your own, I would be more than happy to do it as a partnership, free of charge, using a server I already run, with whatever language you desire to solve you of any liability keeping it clear that it's operated separately, provided that it would be accessible through the app in place of the current feature requests. This would provide a win/win solution for users AND Textra in several ways.

6. message tagging/flagging/review reminders

   One common problem that I have is that some people that I communicate with using SMS involve hundreds, if not thousands of messages daily. (if not actually, it feels this way lol)
   Within those messages there's often one or two that come up that might be relatively important to follow up on, links like videos I'm asked to look at but I can't at the moment and other such nonsense that other people seem to put much higher priority on than I do. lol

   The problem is, when later comes around and I actually have time to review them I've likely forgot about them or I can't find them. I'm not sure what word or phrase to search under.

   right now I reply back with "M@rked" which for those that I communicate with regularly, know that I can't read it right at the moment but marked it so I can look at it later. This allows me to find any such message through search without having to dig.

   But unless it's somebody that I use that with regularly, I often find myself having to explain it far more than I suspected that I would.

   forwarding them to "Keep" results in Keep filling up with tasks where I want Keep to be reference material that I may need to access frequently in the future.

   I can also lock messages and then search only locked messages But that is something that I generally use for important business related liability purposes where I want to mark something that someone has said that I may need to point out or prove what was said at a later time.

   overall, be combination of things available works for the most part But I also have to remember to go back and search for "m@rked" and locked messages to make sure I haven't forgotten anything on a regular basis.

   It would be great if I had The option to flag for follow up and set a reminder time/date while doing so much as I do in outlook with email. That way when it comes up again I can decide if I want to address it then, move the time/date, or clear it as being done.

   I know that This would likely be a significant amount of work... clearly I paid user only option... But It would be a powerful expansion of capability.

   now that I'm typing all this, one thing I haven't tried is seeing if there's an ability to share an individual message to Outlook which if so then I probably just wasted a lot of time writing this. If not, the ability to do so might be a lot easier than building it internally although I don't manage my email nearly as much as I mean I SMS anymore since So much of my email is nothing but junk anymore and those who really want to reach me use SMS.

   there is a typo from me not typing well and i send my text message saying all the wrong things. even with auto-correct and spell check on.

   edit text option after the text message has been sent so there is no miss understanding from my recipient.

   Thank you for hearing out my idea. I hope to see this feature in the near future while i continue to joyfully use this specific text messaging service for my particular phone service.

    I would like to see a better SMS/MMS connection, where when we send these types of messages, they don't have to be resent or see a failed message...

    As a better interface, more options like fonts & backgrounds... Ability to video chat as well....

    since a few days, the textra system is going wrong. every time I get a message, the round icon is hanging on the display. it is not possible to turn it off.

    now I will deactivate textra.

    Textra team/developer, please add the following as well to next coming update:

    1) Option to have a color palette for the "screen color" versus only dark, light, black --- users should be able to choose whether to have same screen color for both the conversation list and within conversations screen or have different colors in each area.

    2) Allow option to change the contact icon to either a number sign (#), picture if available or generic version by Textra, or contact's initials (one, two, etc).

    3) Swipe options for: marking a message read/unread, deleting a conversation, call [contact], archive, mute, and so forth.

    Attention to the above suggestions will be appreciated.

16. Unrecognized texts folder

    Unrecognized texts folder for political numbers/digits with no match to my phone contacts. I'm getting hundreds of these a week and it's a real pain to blocklist them all.

20. signature Formatting

    I love the signature option. the fact that its individual signatures by contact is an amazing feature I adore. bear with me as I explain what I hope to see for the formatting of the signature.

    when I type out a message and hit send, it automatically inserts the signature one space after the last character i typed in the message. I have started hitting the enter button twice to skip to the next line and then the next line after that; leaving one empty line between the message and start of the signature. aesthetically speaking, it looks better. the signature looks squished when it starts on the last line of the text.

    if it's not a feature you think is worth addressing, I will happily hit enter twice and before long it will be a habit. I'm going to submit this idea but I am also going to test if I can hit the enter button twice in the beginning of the signature in the settings where you set it up. if I can do that, it will solve the issue without the need for a change. I doubt that will work as it is a one line box in settings. thank you! im really enjoying Textra.
