please implement FUNTIONALITY MARK AS UNREAD
It would be GREAT if Textra would have functionality to be able to "mark as unread" such that the user can see the importance of following up on that text. seems like an easy fix.

Pixel 3a Android 12 unable to send text.
Settings/Apps/Textra/SMS App-Manually select Textra as default SMS app. Selecting this option from within Textra did not work.

The button to change the sim card is too close to the send button, sometimes we change the the sim card juste before send the text ! it's not ergonomic !

dark mode background/txt visibility
Hi, we have to choose some color sets (text/bckgd) that works good in sunlight (colors are different enough to read the msg) but are bad to seen on dark mode. Can You create a rule that improves visibility, for example 'in dark mode leave txt clear white (FFFFFF)'? And another thing, i have some situations like riding a bike, when I try only to read ahort msg ' i' m waiting 4U at coords:... ' but i cause to small (default) text. Maybe is possible to zoom text size by pressing volume +- buttons?

google play not enable required
now it requires us to enable Google play in order to use app properly, some don't want it enabled due to it automatically update apps even though we switch to do not update..

• lockable conversations
• ability to hide/lock specific selections of text in conversation• ability to select any font installed on phone for the theme
• spectrum colour picker (instead of a preset range of hues)
• toggle showing contact names within text messages in group convos on/off
• toggle text message reaction glow effects on/off (personally don't like em)

sms backgrounds / reactions
please consider allowing us to make a background a wallpaper or a certain color. every other sms app has this feature but you. also allow message reactions similar to imessage.

Style ring around image
In the list of messages if a person has an image associated with the contact, that replaces the initials and the customized color for their chat. It would be nice if there was a ring around that photo with the color chosen for the theme of that chat.

change size of landing page
I would love to be able to adjust the size of the text and bubbles in the main page. The default and only view is too big. Once I click on a message, the second page is a better size. but please make it possible to change the size.

Backup Blocklist settings
there needs to be a way to transfer the block list numbers from a current phone to a new phone. I must have over 200 numbers that are in my block list and want to make sure they stay blocked on my new install on my new phone. this is crucial and should be addressed.

Export/Import old messages
A function to transfer messages should be a basic, even more so when people change their smartphones every year, more or less.
A function to create some sort of save data on an old phone and import it in à new phone is necessary.
There's already a function for sharing message logs, but nothing else in my knowledge.6 votes -

To make conversations more visual and fun, you can reply to messages with an emoji, such as a smiley face

Add reaction ability to media, not just texts
It would be nice to be able to "like, love, emphasize etc" any photos or gifs that others send to you. Can of weird this isn't possible already

Message Scheduling Ability
I had a messenging app before that allowed me to create a text to send later, at a day and time if my choosing. I loved that feature and would LOVE to see that offered with this app as well. Is that a possibility?

Sort blocklist by date
Please sort the blocklist by date, most recent first. If I'm expecting an sms and want to check if I received it but blocked it, it's currently very difficult to find recent blocked texts.
