i have been with Textra for a ton of years now!
so i am really ready to spice things up a bit like some of the other apps are doing and i really need some cool effects.i would really love to see more custom options. more icons, add pics or patterns for the backgrounds or themes, more conversation bubble options, font packages, more text color options, more stickers and emojis. thanks for considering any of these

Dual sim idea
I have a dual sim phone and it's awesome that textra supports it. However the button to switch sums is too close to the send button. I have on several occasions accidently sent a text on the wrong sim because I tapped the sim switch as well. Anyway it can be moved to the left side, away from the send button?

Editing option
I accidentally just sent this to the help section instead of the idea section. I would really like to see the editing option that the gboard has. You can select edit from the toolbar above the keyboard and it immediately switches to arrow keys and select so you can precisely edit longer messages. It's the only feature I prefer on the gboard to on here.

Visual Cues for Contacts
It would be great if the icon/thumbnail for a group text, for which I have supplied a specific color, would have a ring of that color around the circle of contact photos of the participants when I am looking at all of my texts. It would help me pick out that group more easily.

Why won't Textra Support add the capability of adding or removing a contact from Group Messaging?!? It's ridiculous that users don't already have this tool. Many users have requested this feature!

liking messages
So far with Textra I haven't found or seen anyway to "like" messages. You can on regular android texting and on iphone, but you can't with Textra.
Will there ever be a way to do that? Or am I missing something?

Add access to photo files
This would give access to many user local icons, gifs and photos saved in the photo galary. This would require giving access to the system file manager in Android or IOS.

Web Previews for Contacts option
With more SMS spam, I don't want Textra to reach out to unknown links to generate previews, but the current options are limited. I propose a new Web Previews for Contacts option to only enable previews from known numbers.

One Handed Mode
The standard messaging app on Samsung Phones has the top half of the screen essentially blank unless you swipe up. That way the top message, the newest, is only halfway up your screen and can be reached with your thumb while holding your phone with one hand. This seems like a great app, but this might be a deal breaker.

Problem with responding to group text
When I respond to a group text that someone else initiated it appears to be sent to the entire group in the app but actually only goes to the person who initiated causing a lot of confusion. I wish I could upload a screenshot to provide more info. The Group Messaging setting (bulk or chat) is only for when I initiated the message.

Idea for message notification supression option
Imagine you are doing something on your phone and someone texts you 4 or 5 things in a row.. and you get 5 alerts in 20 seconds.
Now imagine if Textra allowed you to say, "After receiving a message, hide textra notifications for that user for the X amount of minutes."
I'm already a paid user and this is the app I tell everyone to get for android but this would be a feature that you would be the first to roll out on any messaging app that I have heard of.
