It'd be nice to put a pic as the display image for group chats especially.

Camera bug
Camera seems to be engaged after taking in-Texta photographs, as indicated by Android active camera/microphone green dot.
Dot/camera disengages only after minimizing Textra.

Provide a means to block any text messages by domain name.

Show full notification on lock screen when app is open
If Textra is viewing a thread, and then the phone locks,band then I get a text, the lock screen shows no banner notification and upon unlocking. This makes it easy to miss notifications. So, please generate a banner notification for the lock screen even if the app is showing a thread.

When in a text thread conversation, I want to add a note to a message sent or received but don't want the other party to see my note.

Wear OS Support
Would really be nice if we could get support for the Galaxy Watch 4 or other Galaxy Watches that run Wear OS. I know doing Google searches a ton of people have wanted this for quite some time. I'd even be willing to pay extra for it.

Smart Watch version please!
I have had the PRO version for years, however I have t been using Textra because there isn't a compatible watch version. I just redownloaded Textra because I couldn't remember why I didn't use such a great texting app and when I got a text on my watch, it reminded me I couldn't use Textra in my watch and I almost uninstalled it again. please make a watch version! you would have SOOOOP MANY MORE USERS!

an option which disable notification, sound and vibration for non contact message like pur or other.

Option to hide contact photos from main menu
I suggest adding an option to hide the pictures for each contact in the main menu, either removing any icon/picture entirely or replacing them with initials. This feature would help create a more minimalist look.

another in support of a built-in backup option....
Just want to put my word in along with all the others that while I'm aware that i can backup to onedrive, dropbox, google via 3rd party app and texra copies to the native app, I'd prefer to pay for something more integrated. I just don't have any more directions I can divide my attention using third party app means staying on top of yet another app to make sure it's doing what it needs to do, is permissions don't get changed by some update, or some other nonsense that fails without you realizing it. Android Auto Support on Kenwood 996xr
Textra does not allow replying in the android auto app. the stock Messages App has to be used for responses in Android Auto. Textra is listed as an app in my Android Auto Launcher but it basically does not have any functionality.

I like that it shows the interaction of iPhone users, but why can't we interact back?

react to messages with an emoji and also put an option for the person and observes to show a picture on our messages
let us be able to react to messages and also let us put pictures of ourselves and the person we are texting!!!

See past Emergency Alert history
add the ability to review dismissed emergency alerts. Once you hit okay on the alert it disappears. stock messaging app has the ability under more, advanced options, then wireless emergency alert. There was a fire evacuation order for my city and I accidently tapped ok vs the link that would tell me if I was in the evacuation area. Had to figure out how to find the message. if I had been effected by the order could have been bad.

Password protection for private messages
Enable any contact to be labeled as private and thereafter, any messages sent or received from that contact goes into a private box accessible only with pw.
Would also be excellent to be able to turn on pw protection for the entire app (to be able to open it at all). WhatsApp has this and it's very simple and effective.
