  1. option to turn off calendar suggestions

    it drives me absolutely bonkers to have my text underlined and linked to a calendar app I don't even use whenever I mention any sort of Time, including things like "next week" or even "now". please let me turn this off. I've taken to censoring my own texts just to avoid this.

  3. Make quick reply emoji list customizable

    It would be great if the user has more control over which emojis are shown in the quick-reply emoji list. For instance, I would like to be able to add the 💯 and 😥 emojis and remove a couple I never use. Thanks.

  4. ARCHIVE....P.L.E.A.S.E.

    this app seriously needs an archive feature. I need to be able to move text messages I get from toxic people I want to ignore without blocking them. blocking them causes other problems. I need to be able to archive so I can hide it.

    also just because this is one of the BIGGEST things this app is lacking

  5. Search for Unread message(s)

    Sometimes Textra says I have unread messages even after I think I've read them all. I realize I can use the "Mark all as read" option but I would rather make sure I've read all the unread messages first. I suggest having a "search for unread" messages filter available.

  6. Add & Delete people in groups

    The ability to add and remove people in a group text. someone leaves the company and you have to start a whole new chat and if you delete the old one, you lose all those conversations.

  10. Notification of mms sender

    I oftentimes receive a notification that an mms couldn't be delivered, but it never says who attempted to send it. The only thing I can do is retry to receive it, which takes an unspecified amount of time only to receive the same notification half of the time. I have no way of determining whether it was something urgent from work or a pet photo from friend and it's distressing (attempts to re-receive it can take a really long time)

  15. force refresh rate 120 when set to auto

    When the refresh rates setting is set to auto this app only goes at 60 hz. Which makes it look jumpy

    Can u change it to allow 120 when setting is auto?

    When a long sms divided to some little sms, that smses arrived in different time, then reciver can't understand it.
    but if a duration exist between sending them, it could solve it

  17. Move the Default Bubble

    I would love to have either of these abilities:
    1. Set where the bubble opens myself in the Textra settings, because the top left corner is never my preferred place...
    Or:
    2. Implement something like how FB Messenger "remembers" where the bubble was last on my screen & opens there. + put a toggle on it in case people don't like this.

  19. Add colour options for dual SIM

    For those using a dual sim phone it is hard to keep track of which SMS is from which SIM card. Clearly it says it under each message but you have to actually go into the thread to read this. Just as you can color coordinate messages from senders. it would be useful if you could apply a color per SIM card. A step further would be the ability for separate inboxes! Thanks.

  20. Customize or reduce length of preview text

    I only have one persistent grievance with Textra, and that is the obtrusiveness/size of the preview for some URLs. This is particularly an issue when someone sends me an Instagram link. The preview often shows a wall of text filling the whole screen. Much of the information included is superfluous for preview purposes, like hashtags and likes. Typically, it's a wall of hashtags that are the biggest issue.

    Textra should include the ability to reduce the size of previews (potentially by choosing the max number of text characters or lines, limiting to title text only, and/or by limiting to image…
