What’s the safest way to preserve folders and attachments during an IMAP to Microsoft 365 migration?
One thing I’m concerned about with an upcoming IMAP-to-Office 365 migration is the mailbox structure. We have years of email organized into Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, Deleted Items, and several custom folders. There are also plenty of attachments that users need to access afterward.
I don’t want to finish the migration only to discover that everything has been dumped into one folder or that attachments and email metadata were lost.
I found the DRS Softech IMAP to Office 365 Migration Tool, which specifically supports maintaining the folder hierarchy and transferring attachments along with the associated messages. It also preserves properties…

How to Import PST Files into Gmail?
To import PST files into Gmail, you can use the SysInfo PST File Converter, which allows direct migration without needing Outlook or manual setups. After launching the tool, you load your PST file, and it displays all your mailbox items—emails, attachments, contacts, and more—in a clear preview screen. You choose Gmail as the output option, sign in through the secure Google authentication page, and then select which folders you want to upload. You can apply filters like date range or remove duplicate emails if you want a cleaner transfer. Once the process starts, the tool uploads your PST data into…

Best Mac Tool to Convert Outlook for Mac OLM to PST Before Microsoft 365 Migration?
I'm preparing to move several users from Outlook for Mac to Microsoft 365, and I wanted to convert each OLM mailbox into PST before importing it into Office 365. Since we're working entirely on Macs, I was looking for a solution that didn't require Windows or Outlook just to open the OLM files.
I recently tested MacSonik OLM Converter, and it handled the migration surprisingly well. It opens OLM files directly using its own scanning engine, so Outlook for Mac isn't required. Before exporting, I could preview emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, and mailbox folders, which helped verify everything before starting…

Secure Chat Lock & Hide
Individual Conversation Locking: The ability to lock specific chats (private or group) using a PIN, Fingerprint, or Face ID, separate from the main app lock.
Hidden Mode: Once locked, the chat should be hidden from the main chat list. It would only reappear when a specific code is entered into the search bar or through a "Hidden Folders" section.
Privacy Notifications: Notifications from these locked chats should not display the sender's name or the message preview (e.g., showing only "1 New Message").4 votes -
Please Add a Moon Notification Icon 🌙
I love this app and I think that you guys are doing wonderful incredible things, however I'm feeling left out on the Moon front. There's a few sun options, a couple of stars, and even a cloud but alas no Moon. I come before you with this humble request in hopes one day having this option.

What Is the Easiest Way to Convert PST to MBOX?
I have some Outlook PST files that I need to use with an email client that supports the MBOX format. I’m looking for a reliable way to convert PST to MBOX without affecting the original emails, attachments, or folder structure.
Is there any dedicated software that can make the conversion straightforward, especially when dealing with multiple or large PST files?
A dedicated PST to MBOX converter can simplify the process by scanning the PST file and exporting mailbox data into MBOX format. Before conversion, it’s a good idea to create a backup of the original PST and check the converted…

Making Assignments Easier
University assignments can become challenging when you are balancing lectures, research, part-time work, and multiple deadlines. An Assignment Maker can be useful for students who need help organising ideas, understanding an assignment brief, or developing a clear academic structure. However, the process should focus on learning rather than simply producing a finished submission. Students can use academic support to explore suitable topics, improve their research approach, understand referencing requirements, and identify areas that need stronger analysis. It is also helpful to review the university guidelines before starting, as expectations can differ by subject and academic level. From essays and case…

Smart Actions Menu for Quick Reminders & Snooze
Someone previously recommended adding a mark-as-unread option, which is a great feature, but I would love to see Textra take it a step further with a Smart Actions Menu.
The concept is simple: a long hold or double tap on a message opens a quick menu to Set a Reminder or Snooze the message for later (15m, 30m, 60m).
Going a step further, it could parse the text to generate a direct action right in the menu. For instance, a text saying, "Pick up milk and eggs on your way home," would give you "Pick up milk and eggs. Set…

Best Way to Backup MariaDB Database
The best way to back up a MariaDB database depends on how often you need backups and how much control you want over the process. For occasional backups, the built-in MariaDB tools can be a simple choice. If you need regular backups, scheduled tasks, and an easier way to manage multiple databases and backup locations, a dedicated MariaDB backup tool such as Prapl can make the process more convenient and reduce the need for manual work.
