  1. OpenPush, OpenStreetMaps, FDroid, & more....

    To whom it may concern,

    I have been looking into options for an SMS replacement and I keep coming back to Textra SMS. However, I see that you do not offer a direct apk download or have published on FDroid. I only use GrapheneOS or CalyxOS for improved privacy and security. So, google services are not an option.

    So, I would like to make a few suggestions & requests.

    Suggest looking into the OpenPush project. This is a free and opensource project that can replace Google Firebase notifications. This will enable you to offer the same functionality

  2. Stop the Caps

    When I am using the microphone and dictating a text, many of the words come out capitalized. They can be random words in the middle of the sentence and are verbs or nouns or prepositions. There is no particular pattern to it but I am tired of going back in and correcting all the capitals that appear within the sentences. Any suggestions?

  5. muting bluetooth notifications

    Even if I have muted a group text, I still get notifications via Bluetooth on my car (Tesla M3). I don't know if this is a Textra "issue" or an Android "issue". For me, mute means mute across the board but the ability to mute the bluetooth as well would be nice.

  7. Long group chat SMS still convert to MMS regardless of setting

    I installed Textra to my wife's Xiaomi for the sole reason that her long messages get converted into MMS - while she has a plan with unlimited SMS, MMS is paid extra. Unfortunately due to poor quality control on your part, this setting is not working for group chats and, as she uses the phone for her small business, sent a long group message to her clients. This resulted in 140 MMS sent, and several messages not delivered. The messages cost her about $10 (250 CZK) not to mention possible lost sales due to messages not delivered. I am very…

  16. Minimize texts blowing up my phone

    Sometimes I'll be included in a group text and then my phone will start blowing up out of no where. It's very annoying sometimes. Can you make a way for Textra to cap notifications off to a certain # of texts per minute? Also maybe even an option to stagger text notifications so the interval between each text is a minimum of 15 seconds or something?

    I just don't like getting blown up 1 second, then 3 seconds later another text, then 2 seconds later another text.

  18. Attached pictures inside bubbles

    Funny the things that some people regard as important. Having said that, how about attached pictures being included inside the bubble to avoid confusion over which message they relate to.
