Automatically download received images
The option to choose a conversation and set that conversation so that any messages received will automatically get saved to my device. I have a group of friends and we're always sending funny pictures to each other. I would love to have them saved to my device without having to manually do so all the time.

Allow move to SD card
Hi - I love the app, and have used it for years. However, it takes up a lot of space, and there is no way for me to move it to my SD card. Would absolutely LOVE if you could allow that option.

Option to search uncensored gifs
Currently, the only way to have uncensored gif searches is to root your phone. It would be nice if Textra could add that as a built-in opion

functions when you search contacts
when you search for a text conversation, you cannot call, access contact details or see media shared in that text stream. i use text functions so often it is easier to use textra than use the contacts...so just need some more integration....

group/bulk switch
create an option to assign bulk message or group chat attribute to individual groups. Verizon message+ has this feature.
currently in Textra you can only select to default group messages as bulk or chat.

Multiple Colors For Contacts
I know people who can't always decide on ONE color, so I have to pick the color I have for them. I think it would help a lot of people if you could put multiple colors for your contacts, and for yourself, your sent messages.

export text conversations
an option to be able to export, or copy over your text messages and conversations. I see the "share conversation via email", but it is much too large a file for email.

option to save media
If there were an option to save a set number of incoming MMS, that would be beneficial. Separate from the limit set for outgoing MMS. That way when I set a limit, it is not used up with my own outgoing MMS. Y'all have the option to save a certain number of media (SMS & MMS) files per conversation. Just not the option to set limits separately for outgoing vs incoming.

Away Message function
Would it be possible to implement an away message function? So say for instance, you just want a break from everyone, but you don't want people to think you're ignoring them. So you set up an automatic message to send, until you turn it off.

MMS Lock issue 7.0 - Force service restart
For the MMS lock issue, a Textra enhancement could notice the android version, carrier type, message failure and then automatically trigger a restart of the android service causing the issue. A cell phone's purpose is primarily for communication, so if the service restart causes a temp outage with other applications, that is acceptable. If this is really a sticking point, it would be a simple matter of making the service force restart a user configuration toggle switch in the settings menu.

work profile contacts
contact info from work profile doesn't sync up. in Google default app the contacts show as a work profile contact, but this app keeps them shown as unknown even when work profile is active.
