  1. Lock Quick Compose

    Please have an option to lock the quick compose on the notification bar so you can't swipe it away by accident. The only way to get it back again is to go to the app and choose quick compose off and back on again.

    i would like a mechanism for showing just unread messages, please. I have 4 unread messages, but I don't know what they are. I do not want to mark them all as unread, because then I will NEVER know what they are. I do not want to search for them, the app could, in theory, do a better job than I can.

  8. Contact backgrounds

    Some texting apps have the ability to set backgrounds for specific chats. It would be really nice if Textra had this feature as well. It would certainly go well with the ability to set the opacity of sent/received message bubbles via a slider.

    I receive a number of messages throughout the day and think it would be awesome to be able to sort messages by unread, sending name/number, old message threads (like older than 30 days) that have had no new messages.

  16. Nicknames and notes

    I text a lot of people for work and I typically don't want to add all their numbers to my phone. If there was a way to add nick names it could be universally fun for others and really useful for people like myself(anyone in sales) so basically when a number has a nick name it shows that instead of the number in your lists.

    It would also be very useful to add notes to individuals as well. Even if it wasnt a lot.

  17. Edit and save groups

    If you create a group, you should been able to save and select a group from a list. Likewise, if you are part of a group, be able to edit and save as a new group.

  19. press+hold and drag to highlight text

    Make text highlighting work exactly like in Chrome. Maybe make this a setting, so people who like the more cumbersome way it is now can leave it that way. but I looked everywhere to find an SMS program that would let me highlight and copy part of a text message.

  20. pinch changes font size& reformat

    Pinching wouldn't zoom; instead it would enlarge or reduce the font size, and then reformat the message with the new font size.

    I think Samsung phones do this. My wife needs it because of vision problems.
