  1. fingerprint unlock to access Textra

    I think the app should have the option of locking the main UI with some sort of security especially fingerprint. This for me, would be a killer feature when compared to stock messaging app

  3. Priority Inbox

    since so many promotions / operator sms and many unwanted sms are receiving its very good to create an inbox to receive from seletected recipients and get those for separate section and make some privacy also. adding a lock or hidden message like that. it will be a huge jump for a sms application like this.

    Is there a way to add or remove contacts from an established group text? If not, it would be nice to have that option... thank you.

  8. Samsung One UI dark them - pull down notification glitch

    I am on Samsung note 8. Recently upgraded to Android 9 (pie). Loved the dark theme. Along comes along a beautiful dark pull down notification.

    I've configured 'mark read, 'reply' and 'call back. By default their font color is dark grey. It actually comes very close to the default background color of the pull down notification, resulting in inability to see the options clearly.

    I imagine with future Android releases, this notification color will change and wonder if Textra team could add a customization for this, or there already has one solution for it. Thanks.

  9. group to fav list

    I send a group text one to two times a day can you add a group to the favorite list on the front end? it would save two to three clicks and thinking would be real nice.

  10. backspace to delete a word

    sometimes when I'm typing out a message and I type out the wrong word I'd like to be able to hit the backspace once to delete the entire word. Is that possible in this version?

  11. full screen option for notifications

    I'd like to press the notification icon and have it open full screen and with keyboard. I drive a lot using Waze and GMaps and must get texts sometimes and pressing those tiny boxes to enlarge or shrink the screen so I can at least voice text, is uncomfortable and too much work and dangerous if I'm driving.

    You guys should make it to where you don't have to hold down to record press it once to record for as long as it's needed then press it again to stop recording.

  15. 'Backup Settings' is a necessity!

    Many have asked for this functionality (for a while now). If you want to implement another new feature, let it be something that encourages people to keep using Textra each time they upgrade to a new phone. We are sick of having to set up Textra again and again, line by line, trying to remember the colors/ options that were set on the old phone.

    For whatever reason if I'm texting someone,hit the home button, and then open textra again. The texts that were previously open are no longer open

  17. Showing recent conversations when composing a new message

    I'd like to see a way/option to where, when I compose a new message or share something to Textra, the pop up that asks who to send it to? Should show my recently conversations instead of my contacts. This makes it SO much easier to send/share to a conversation from the gallery, instead of having to use the stupid image selector that's built in to Textra
