  1. Compress videos and pictures automatically before sending

    Like the new update to the google messenger app. The video will compress, then send (when attached). You have a previous article regarding this feature that says this feature is completed. BUT IT IS NOT. Videos are only compressed when the video is taken from within the app. The app should compress videos when attached from the gallery.

  3. International Date Format

    I know several people who tried this app and dropped it because of date format. Why doesn't it use Android settings for date format like, uh, every other app ever? Can you give me an idea if this will ever happen, otherwise I need to move on.

  4. Move/Archive to SD card

    Having the ability to move Textra SMS to my SD would be beneficial to those who like to save text messages. App data can become quite large over the course of some time due to text messages not being deleted. If moving the app to the SD card is a problem due to Android restrictions, having the ability to archive text messages would be just as beneficial.

  5. Invert mute symbol

    The mute symbol should be inverted. It should show current state/status instead of 'what will happen if I press/select this'

  6. One of my conversations disappeared!

    After the 3.21 update (approximately), one of my conversations has disappeared from the list in Textra. The only way I can access the conversation history and text this person is to create a new message via the '+' button and then enter the contact's name. Textra then pulls in the history of the conversation. I do not get notified of any new messages sent from this person either, but they will show up in the history. Please help! I'm on a Nexus 5X running the latest update of 6.0.1, and just upgraded to Textra 3.22 but the conversation hasn't come…

  7. New texts from the bottom

    With large phones like a note 7, it is easier to use your thumb on texts closer to the bottom of the screen. An option to have the newest texts at the bottom vs the top of the screen would be great.

  9. Weather and emergency alerts

    It's nice to get alerts of any sort. I received them on my stock messaging app. But not able to receive them on this app. It's a really nice feature.. sometimes your out an about or at work etc. and nowhere near a tv or radio to hear the weather conditions or other alerts etc. So getting these alerts are very helpful in such situations. Nice to be prepared and aware!! (Ex: If you need to stop running errands an get home or whats to come when you get off work etc. Please add this feature!!! Thanks : )

    Allow reminders to be set for individual messages so that we can be reminded to follow up on the message at a later, more convenient time. Automatically set these messages as unread again.

    Please provide a setting (or keep it as default, whichever way you think is better) to merge those contacts with multiple numbers under a single name, with a dropdown menu to choose between numbers.
