  1. Give the option to send SMS to an email address. Not restricted to MMS only.

    Give the option to send SMS or MMS to an email address. Android Messenger can do this, but Textra automatically assumes its a MMS. Some carrier charge this as picture message, instead of a sms.

  2. Choose your own most frequently used emoji to be "pinned" at the top of the emoji menu.

    Currently, at the top of the emoji menu is a section with your "most recently used emojis". While this is a really great feature to have, it would be more beneficial to me if I could select which emojis I want pinned at the top of the emoji menu. There are about 20-30 emojis that I use the most, some of which are buried pretty far down in the menu. Being able to choose which emojis I want to stay at the top would allow me to text faster and more efficiently, as I wouldn't have to waste time repeatedly…

  4. New App İcons

    i'm using lg g6 and others samsung or google pixel. we use all different icon shape. i want a square icon, pixel user want circle. so can we do our icon picture? or you can add 3 or 4 extra icon stye. thanks good work

  6. Customizable Group Chat Icons

    It would be awesome if for each group chat the icon in the conversations list was customizable, a la Facebook Messenger. Instead of a thumbnail of the individual pictures of the people in the chat, it could be changed to just one picture, e.g. a group picture of all those in the group chat.

  7. phone call

    it would be nice to have a button in the options part that you can press to call the contact you are texting with. I couldn't tell you how many times I have gone to options in a conversation to call that person. instead I have to close the app, go to my contacts and call someone. hopefully this is something that could be possible, because it would be very convenient and really add a finishing touch to this app

  8. Partial text selection in messages

    Many times I need just some partial text from a message and afaik you can only copy the whole message as of now. Pasting the whole message and deleting most of it feels too cumbersome. If you can add this small task to the next iteration it would be great.

  9. Adding shortcuts/widgets to homescreen

    Will there be any support for adding a text shortcut/contact to home screens? Many texting apps have this feature and it gives direct one-press access to contacts. Currently I use an alternative method to accomplish the same thing. Would love it if this feature can be considered.

  10. Saving Text Messages

    It would be great if Textra had an option where it connects to your email or I cloud. For instance when getting a new phone all text would transfer when installing Textra again on that phone.

    Add label to a mail so they show in some category so that inbox is not cluttered. Something like Gmail does it.

  12. Dual SIM handy: Individual notifications for each SIM card

    Hello Developers,
    I like your SMS app very much! I would like to have one more option:
    At dual SIM handy for example SIM card 1 is private and SIM card 2 is job: I would like to choose individual notification sounds for each SIM card. For SIM card 1 choosing notification sound A and for SIM card 2 sound B. So I can differentiate by sound if the SMS is for private or for job. That would be very helpful. The Samsung launcher provides this option under settings connections SIM card manager sounds and vibration

    Would be nice if Textra worked across devices, like iOS does, so one can receive phone's SMS/MMS on tablet, without having to use a third-party app, like MightyText.

  14. Add option to disable force send button on the delay send function.

    ever since the new update I have had trouble with hitting force send instead of cancel send with delayed send function. you put the force send button where the cancel button used to be. It would be great if there was a way to disable the force send button so it would be how it was before the update.

  16. move to SD card

    Allow the app to be moved to an SD card in case of phone change or a phone crash to be able to still have previous messages from your contacts.

    set certain people's messages to be "priority" so we can turn off notifications ("do not disturb") but still get notifications from just the selected people

    If textra can block calls from the numbers added in blacklist then it will be the greatest feauture
