  7. Auto response to blacklisted numbers

    I would like to see a feature that allows you to automatically send a response to blacklisted numbers. Something to the effect of, "number has been blocked" or even, "SMS has failed, please check the number and try again." It would be best if the auto response came from Textra or some generic 6 digit number and not your personal phone number.

  8. Emergency Alert System messages option

    I had a tornado warning the other day. My sister's phone received an alert, but mine didn't. I realized that the stock messaging app received the alert, but since I have it disabled so I don't get dupe notifications, I didn't get the alert.

    Would be great if Textra could receive these alerts. Perhaps with an option to turn them on or off. My stock messaging app has these options: Presidential alert (permanently enabled), extreme alert, severe alert, amber alert, and emergency alert test message (defaulted to off.)

  10. Not all contacts showing

    Some people in my contact list that have a mobile number assigned are not showing. I have move the switch about "contacts with mobile numbers" a few times and even restarted the phone. They still won't show. But if they text me they show with the correct name and I can reply. But I can't just go to create a new message and find them or use the share via textra feature on a photo or video and find them. But in the stock MMS app they all show.

  11. Add TextSecure / WhisperSystems encryption

    They are taking away the sms encryption. You can integrate encryption using their engine which they offer for free. Please don't focus in their online message crap.

  13. I need to save and archive my texts.

    I would like to be able to lock entire conversation and archive the texts so I can refer to them later.

  14. Keep unread indicator in app if you've cleared notification for notification bar

    When a user clears a Textra text notification in the notification bar/panel, it CLEARS the unread indication in the Textra app. Most often, I read the notification bar/panel item, clear it, and respond later. But with the unread indication cleared in the app, i no longer know which messages to check! All messaging apps I've used work this way, but not Textra.

  15. Replace or enhance 'Later' option with a snooze option

    When a new message arrives, the 'Later' option in the menu is useful and a feature I've not seen in other SMS apps. However, I think it could be made better still. My problem with the current feature is that the notification remains in the tray, and the notification light keeps on flashing, so when I glance at my phone I can't tell if I've missed a new notification or if it's the original message that I want to deal with later. And sometimes later can mean many hours later, e.g. when I get home from work.

  16. Ability to select contact's phone #

    On HTC's stock messaging app you can click on the person's name at the top of the text and it will provide a dropdown of all phone numbers associated with that contact. It allows you to tap which one you would like. Perfect for contacts with a home and work cell.

  18. Save new number to Contacts

    Where's the option to save a new phone number to your Contacts list? Kitkat Messaging and Messaging Classic had the ability to do this.

  19. Show number of unread messages on app icon

    In other text apps, normally there appears a number on the app icon when new messages arrive, showing the number of unread messages. I cannot find this option in Textra.

  20. make an option to sync messages with a tablet so you can text on any device. also, make a backup option to archive messages.

    similar to how imessage is for Apple devices. I'd like to receive texts on my wifi tablet. there are apps that do this but i love layout of textra
