  1. Built in URL shortnener

    It would be nice to have the ability to use a URL shortening service inside composing a text message. Ideally a person would type/paste in a long url, then select an option to shrink that url, and then the long url would be replaced with the shortened version.

  4. Dual sim settings

    For dual sim users, there is no option in Textra to send sms from the sim we want. this is irritating a lot really.

  5. Option to mute notifications.

    An option to mute notifications from an individual or group without muting others would be awesome. Similar to the Facebook chat, you can mute a person or group that is blowing up your phone for like 5, 10, 15 minutes, etc...

  8. notification sound

    Currently if the message screen is open, there is no notification sound when getting a response. Add the option to allow sound instead of only vibrate. I keep missing messages until its too late because i was not alerted.

  13. Option to mute selected conversations or group chats

    In verizon messages + app, there is a wonderful option to mute selected conversations so that they remain silent until unmuted, while still keeping your phone volume on normal. This is especially helpful when you're included in a large group chat and your friends are all going nuts on the feed, but you don't want to hear your phone beep every thirty seconds with a new addition to the conversation... Putting your phone on silent works but I often forget to put it back to normal and then miss important calls, etc.

    I had this on my previous text app EvolveSMS. You could change the enter button on the keyboard to a button that would take you to the smileys

  15. Emergancy Alerts options in Textra.

    The first line of the text I saw when I got one forwarded to Textra from my default, was #EmergancyAlert or something like that whcih changed it to a red icon. I'm sure the others have different icons and such. I'd like this feature in Textra because I had to disable it in the default app, due to flood warning that kept popping back up because I had to default the original text app to get rid of the text on there.

  16. Unread count from Textra Icon not working

    Not an idea, but I could not find any support or information. The unread count (red bubble) on the Textra icon no longer shows/works. I have ensured that the "Badge App Icon" is checked. Seems to have been lost in the latest update.

  18. RGB color codes for customizing UI colors

    Along with a predetermined set of colors, there should be an option for a colorwheel that allows the input of an RGB color code to get super accurate colors in case your phone has a color scheme.

  19. make the home screen "direct text" shortcut open the full app instead of the floating window

    There's an option to put a shortcut on the homescreen that, if clicked, will open a direct message. Instead of opening the floating window, please put in the option to open the full app instead

  20. Emoji style as a "Per Contact" option.

    some of my friends use andriod emoji and ios emoji and I'd like to set my emoji style based on what emoji they use because some of the emoji are very different.
