  1. Textra desktop widget

    Textra phone desktop widget or better support for stock messaging widget. very buggy when clicking messages in stock widget. Sometimes I have to restart phone because it says app not installed for ALL apps. Please at least fix bugs involved with stock messaging widget, but I would love a whole new widget with the beautiful UI I love about Textra.

  2. Include time stamps next to messages.

    it's nice to know when the text was sent so having messages beside or above would be great!

  3. Option for spell check entire message

    Option to spell check the entire message before sending. Will help with overlooked incorrect automatic word inserts and longer txt with extensive editing. Eliminate resends of minor corrections or avoid embarrassing goofs.

  5. Allow customizable repeat notification interval time.

    Instead of the default 2 minutes, allow the user to set the time they desire whether it be 10 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.

  8. Disable drag-up keyboard

    Too often I accidentally open the drag-up keyboard, and the animation is unpleasant. It would be better if the keyboard slid up as if connected to the bottom of the conversation, only visible to the extent that the user would have scrolled. For now though, I'd just like a way to turn the current implementation off.

  11. Option to put your pictures into folders.

    Instead of looking through all my pictures when i want to send one, it would be nice to have the option to pick from a folder. This would make sending pictures much easier and prevent from sending a picture you had no intention of sending in the first place.

    Textra is a great app — fast, smooth, simple, and customizable. I'd love to see it improve even more. Here are some suggestions:
    • Display unread count in conversation list.
    • In the conversation list, for group messages, display initials for contacts without pictures.
    • In conversation list, have option to display newest conversations at the bottom (consistent with message view, easier to reach with one hand).
    • In conversation list, swipe right to archive conversation (hides it from list).
    • Options to change incoming text color, outgoing text color, timestamp color, bubble color, primary color, accent color, and background…

  14. desktop client for Mac / ability to integrate with messages app on OSX

    texture is by far the best messaging app I have used on Android. the only thing keeping me from abandoning hang out completely and exclusively using textra is lack of more adept cross-platform functionality. a desktop client for or the ability to add a extra account to the existing messages app on Mac would be phenomenal. Pushbullet integration and capabilities are a step in the right direction, but it's not enough to allow me stop using hangouts... And I REALLY love to be able to stop using hangouts lol.

    On the traditional messaging app that comes with every phone, you are able to have a personal picture as your background for your messages. That should also be an option on Textra

    Instead of quick reply, use hovering chat heads that way a person could open a conversation and send messages from any screen.
