floating chat bubble, private message
you could add a floating chat bubble like facebook uses instead of the quick reply or quick compose from the status bar, and maybe could add some way to encrypt messages possibly like a private message or a secured messaging extension

Notifications closing after 1 text.
There should be a setting for whether the window that appears from responding to a text closes after one message is sent or if it stays open until you hit the back or close button.

Giving users the ability to select different styles of icons would increase the amount of users. Many people like to have uniformity of their home screen.

Add Android Marshmallow Emojis
Add the Emoji set that came preloaded on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which ran Android Marshmallow. This emoji set actually has a number of very different emojis than the other sets that are already loaded in Textra.

Edge lighting notification Galaxy S8 no longer working
Edge lighting notification on Galaxy S8 no longer working as of last update. I have ensured Android style heads on on Textra is enabled and Textra on Android edge lighting settings is enabled.

Oreo quick compose
On Oreo/android 8 (specifically samsung galaxy phones) the quick compose in the notification tray has to be tapped twice sometimes more to bring up Textra Quick Compose as the Oreo notifications are thinner/minimal. I would like a way for Textra to tell Android System not to minimise the notification so it behaves like it did in Nougat/7

Checkbox to Enable MMS Auto-Save on First Use
Upon using the app for the first time, would it be possible to have the option to enable Auto-Save then? I've been using the app a few years and have watched the ability to press a single button on the bottom of the picture to "Save to Gallery" to now , tap the picture, three dots and then "save to gallery". If the auto save feature isn't enabled, saving each picture individually can be quite tedious.
Perhaps a "Save all pictures from these selected users or select all from all".

Add a XMPP client to textra so that communications could be routed via an XMPP server.

A couple additions
would like an archive feature. may want to keep the message but not necessarily need it in my inbox..
it would be nice to have 2 different type of lock features.
1. be able to lock the message in your inbox as if it was pinned so it can't be deleted and it would push it down to the bottom of the list.
2. be able lock messages as if they are hidden. add a box to file the hidden messages so you can refer to them later. should be able to use your fingerprint, pattern or pin (password) to…1 vote -
