Improved Search Function
The current search feature is too broad and basic.
It could be improved by allowing for search both in individual conversation threads and on the main message hub. Furthermore, once a search term is entered there should be navigation arrows to allow the user to navigate through multiple occurrences of the same word or phrase in a thread. An excellent example of such an implementation can be seen in Android Messages.

Custom hours of night mode
Hi,
I would love you to implement a feature to custom the hour when the theme goes night mode (by default it's 22h, but I would like it to do it sooner)

Dual SIM colors
Here is already a request to take colors from phone settings which is probably not feasible. So it would be perfect to have possibility to set up colors for the SIMs manually. All phones have this for multi-SIM so it would be Very welcome to have in sync also on Textra.

MMS bypass
Text data bytes are sufficient to transfer files and anything. Proper header, file name, then send. Texting is usually unlimited by service providers, whereas MMS is limited or unavailable.

Delete
I've noticed that a feature in messages has changed recently and I'd like to see it reinstated. When deleting a recent conversation the contact no longer drops further down in the list of messages. It's helpful to me to have my messages organized by the most recent conversation. If I'm deleting an irrelevant text, I don't need the contact to stay at the top of my messages.

contact pictures and themes
Hey guys, love your app as always. Two things that would be really nice: a light and black theme mode, and an option to hide the contact's initials if there is no picture associated with the contact (just use name). I think it would clean up the interface.

partially copy function
For example, if I get promo code which is 15digits of letter. I have to do as below.
1. long press the MMS which is including promo code.
2. choose new message on the option bar, and then whole text will be pasted in the new MMS writing mode.
3. long press promo code in the MMS and copy it to clip board.
4. if press back button, MMS will be saved and I have to delete this new MMS. or long press again in the MMS writing mode and choose all texts in the MMS and delete it and…1 vote -

Delete Old Conversations
Textra needs a feature that allows you to delete all conversations that have not been viewed in a long time. it's difficult to do it one at a time.

When you send a message it would show D for delivered and show Some for seen like they opened your messages and seen it

Example: Ability to send a text every Monday at 8:00 AM reminding a friend to bring coffee to work.

A FEW SUGGESTIONS
Why is there no full screen mode when composing a text? It really is needed.
How come the windows are so narrow?
The date/timestamp really needs to be bolder. Hard to see.
A very nice app. It is hard to find a good flexible texting app.

Attachments for documents and attachments for documents and calendars
would be great to add an attachment for documents and calendars you need to share. frustrating to have to switch between texting apps.

Music Mode
ChompSMS have this feature. When your listening to music, you won't be able to hear any notification sounds from Textra unless you turn music mode off.
