  1. auto archive older messages

    for certain people I would really really like to periodically auto archive messages over a certain age or maybe even number threshold. to manually archive when I remember to, I send as email to my gdrive and name it e.g. "Candace thru Jan 2018" then I lower the message limit to 2000 and after it cleans up I reset it back to unlimited.

    related to but different in use case from the auto archive idea.

  3. Failed message notification vibration

    I have all vibrations turned off in the app, but the failed message notification still vibrates, and I can't find a setting for it. Please provide a setting to change.

  5. Option to change default messaging

    I love the app alot and I thought it would be nice if I could set Textra as my default for texting. I would love to see this change happen.

  7. Much Appreciation!!!!

    I can see that everyone and their brother has mentioned the background. so I will just say.. you have done an amazing job on this theme. I am a avid Substratum user and I love dark themes as well as Samsung messaging app. I have been using Go SMS forever for that reason. If people are not happy with what you have produced then they should download Go SMS... you killed it...

  10. Notification Groups

    I think I'd be really nice if we had groups for our notifications. Instead of having to find each contact in a group that we want a notification for, we just change the group.

    Example:
    I have two main groups with different notification sounds/vibrations/colors. For family and for automated (bank,amazon,etc.)

    Instead of having to track down all family members to highlight together and make a change to all of them, I would create a "notification group" and assign them to that group. Then, if I wanted to update the notifications for my family, I would just change the group settings.…

  11. Chrome extension.

    It would be great to have a chrome extension. When I'm on my computer it would be convenient to type from it and not look like I'm being unproductive by picking up my phone.

  12. Move the cancel message button away from send button

    Cancel sent message button too close to send button. I have fat fingered the sent button too many times when I meant to CANCEL the message.
    this is for delayed message settings

    Have a "dark" (not glaring white) keyboard as a night setting or just general option to turn your keyboard from white to a darker color (gray or black).

  14. Avoid similar colors when auto-theming contacts

    The auto-theming contacts functionality is nice, but sometimes the selected color is very similar to the user-selected "sent" color. This results in very similar colors between "received" and "sent" bubbles. Add functionality to use significantly different auto-theming colors for "received" bubbles compared to the user-selected "sent" color.

  17. text failure to transmit

    Ehen I write and send a text that doesn't transmit, (usually a hangup with wi-fi or slow cell service) an exclamation point icon appears alongside the block of text in the conversation view.

    This signifies that although I tapped Send, and Textra went through its normal send routine, the text never went out to anyone. unless I wait around to check it, I don't know that the operation has failed.

    Such an icon SHOULD appear overlaid in the potential recipient's profile circle on t the main T contacts menu, and at the TOP, so that the next time I use…

  18. Group photo option

    The ability to add a specific image to the circle for the group rather than their individual pictures showing on the group notification. Similar to how Facebook Messenger does it.
