in message media
i think the look for media files in message needs an update. I like how received and sent media files look in other apps, one for example is Android messages. I think an update in that direction would be good

lock rotation
Simply, give the possibility to lock the in-app rotation, cuz some people juste don't want Textra or any messaging app in landscape mode.

Do not disturb support
Work with stock Android's "Do Not Disturb" mode to not vibrate or make a sound in "alarms only", and "priority only" depending on the contact.

Vibrate in power saver mode!
How about adding the feature for the app to vibrate while phone is in power saver mode? I should be able to have my phone on vibrate AND conserve battery life while using this app!

Customize date and time format
I would be grateful if I can choose what is the format of date and time (eg. Instead of 04/24/2018 i would prefer 24.04.2018). The same with the time.

User Folder creations
This is my 2nd request. Why doesn't allow users to make and move Text messages to folders? Yahoo, a FREE email allows users to create an move messages to said folder? It seems like a simple request that should have been one of the very first features you implemented.

Phonetic Nicknames
The ability to have contacts listed as the phonetic Nickname rather than the first and last. For example, we'll use a character called Dan the man; so his first name is 'Dan', and his last is 'the man'. The phonetic Nickname might be boiboi, so when I search for him, Textra should just say boiboi. When I receive a message from Dan, it should say from boiboi.

Auto-download
For group messages, have an option to automatically download the messages rather than seeing that you have to download a message each time.

not restarting/updating while composing a message
I was just at the end of composing a long and serious message when texted suddenly closed. when it restarted, my entire message was gone and most recent message received was from textrabot saying it was just updated! FRUSTRATING! delay restart if it actively bring used or save the message!!

2 improvements & one error.
The app sis great although I would like to give you some ideas other users may like:
1. If a user has a dual SIM phone, do not set SIM 1 card as a default when sending new SMS. Put a question mark and let the user choose which card should be used.- Allow removing landuage specific characters for each SIM card. I for example pay for each SMS messace on one card and the other one has unlimited SMS messages so I don't need the compression on that card.
I don't know why but since a month or two…

Pick up where you left off when exiting the app
For example: if I'm in a conversation with a person, send my response, and hit home to go back and do something else, when I reopen the app it just takes me back to the main page where it lists all the conversations. It would be great to have it just take me back to the conversation I was in last before hitting home. I can't find a switch in the app to do this so I apologize if it's already a feature.

thank the Lord for the damn texting delay
thank you guys for having that delay feature. the only reason I wasn't using this app was because y'all didn't have one. this app is responsive and fantastic. only thing I would do is make more timing options like a 20 sec delay or cerfew so after a certain time you couldn't text till morning

Group texts by key word
Group texts that contain a key word. I get automated texts from the same sender but the sender's name keeps changing. therefore I can not customize notifications.

double tap a bubble
when you do a double tap on message bubble (like you do single tap on individual bubble to get options)
double tap would open that particular message in full screen.(white text, black background ), like it happens in some other messaging app.
