Text in MMS backed up as a searchable SMS
So when I get my next phone, and I perform a backup, text is extracted from text only MMS and treated as an SMS when being transferred to cloud or phone then archived in destination as a functioning and searchable reference source.
It's BS to be dismissive about backups being stored in stock app. It's a pain to backup my Textra messages and you offer zero support for power users with lots of texts. I'm baffled with how I'm supposed to move /integrate a backup situation that doesn't crash, that gets everything chronologically and doesn't truncate the replies or the…

Build a program to send and receive SMS from PC
Textra is my number 1 App to deal with messaging, but when I´m working on my PC it´s not practical to go to the phone to answer some texts.
I would like to do that from my PC, either from a PC program or from a website. I think most of Textra users would like this improvement.1 vote -
Group Chat Slide To Call
It would be convenient if group chat tabs had the slide to left for call option and opened up a sub menu with call buttons for each person in the group.

Add new recipients to current group thread
It's frustrating to add a new person to an already made group chat because there is not a feature to add a new person.

Convert sms to a reminder
Can you add an option of converting an sms into a reminder.
So if I receive a text saying 'let's chat at 1600 tomorrow' I can click on an option of add reminder and set it up.
A step ahead would be for it to pick up words like tomorrow or this evening or meeting and automatically give an option of a reminder.

Search within conversation
Currently the only way to search looks through all conversation it would be nice to only be able to search within a chat as to limit the possible results especially when looking for something commonly said.

Save all sent and received images to gallery
An option to save all sent and/or received images to folders on the device. I send a lot of pictures to people and I wish I could scroll through them later in my photo viewer app. Perhaps an option should be present to omit certain chats from import or to only import from some.

Send video from gallery as SMS
It would be nice to be able to pick videos from the gallery instead of having to record through the app.

Countdown toast for scheduled SMS
A time countdown should be displayed as a toast notification when a scheduled sms is set. The way it happens when an alarm is set on Android's stock clock.

I'd really like am option where I can select from a few different choices that I can set when I'm asleep or busy so when people text me they'll get an auto-response of my choosing without me having to install a whole different app on top of this one.

Textra have a schedule message but doesn't have a repeat option.
