  1. Adding Chat Heads

    It would be a cool idea to add chat heads to textra to be easier and that we can keep the conversation going in the chat heads. And it would be better to quick reply also

  2. THEME: Fluent Design/Frosted Glass

    Microsoft, Apple, and many Android app devs are starting to use this design scheme. It's gorgeous and appears to be lacking in the Android messaging app realm. Many of the most popular and gorgeous Android music players have this theming option now, and I believe Textra and Chomp SMS would benefit greatly from incorporating this sort of theming option into their design.

  4. Selection Tool

    Currently you can only copy the full text of a message. it would be nice if you could select parts of the message to copy. For example a lot of services send messages with codes, it would be nice if I could just select and copy the code instead of the whole message.

  6. Every considered multiple levels of plans?

    I'm sure this has been a topic and I'm sure it wouldn't be an easy thing to implement. I'm a mega texted, 99% business and just migrated from an old blackberry 9930. Your app is amazing, but there are some things it doesn't do that I wish it did and would be happy to pay for (1x or going forward as a higher monthly).

  7. Toggle "show date"

    Maybe something a little closer but not the same as iPhone or Facebook Messenger date stamp.

    Purely aesthetics.

    I feel like almost all text messages have a date stamp, I don't mind when a stamp is visible separating messages that are either by day or when there a bunch frequently sent around each other but not every one.

    If I really want the date sent recieved/sent stamp info I should be able to long press or side swipe the text

    Please improve on the popup feature. Have a separate window popup over whatever is being done instead of just in the notification bar. Also have it turn the screen on and popup when the phone is not on.

  12. recognize a number with local area code as the same number without one

    I've noticed that textra creates a separate conversation for the same number if, in my contacts, it is a local number listed only as seven digits (without area code). it'd be cool if it would recognize these numbers are the same. For some reason, it uses the photo from contacts on both...

  13. add create contact to more menus

    when I'm messaging a new number the top right hamburger dots do not have the option to create a new contact, I have to use the hamburger dots that are next to the number, which seems unnecessary.

  14. Chat Box Style

    Style the messages to combine sequential messages from a user to look similar to that of Android Messages, iMessage, and Facebook Messenger. Currently the additional whitespace seems to waste space and looks awkward.

  15. Link preview should be optional

    The new feature of showing a preview of a video link and watching it in the Textra interface should be optional. Users should be allowed to turn it off if they don't want it. This is a very annoying feature and is not useful at all to most users
