Delete Confirmation or Recover Option..
After accidentally deleting all of a conversation that I was trying to "pin", I think the delete option needs a safe guard.
Possibly x2 confirmations before it actually deletes the items!
Ps..
I also support that it needs an "UN-delete or Restore" function. The app has grown to be at a point where mistakes like mine can be done, but not undone7 votes -

Backgrounds and bubbles
I think it would be cool to be able to change the background of the conversations and maybe the opacity of the bubbles.

I love the textra app. However it doesn't seamlessly integrate with my native dialler. There are different UX / UI with each.
Thus, I propose Textra makes its own super simple dialler app that's just as customisable!
I know it would complete many users daily experience!!!

For example, for programmed message, if you program 8 o'clock am when you are at 6 pm, can you change day to tomorrow automatically ?

Notification ON the logo of the app.
Like for many applications like WhatsApp, you could add a little red circle showing how many unread SMS one has.

Back Up Option
back up option...i no longer root my phone, so an option of back up Textra, at least the settings and contact settings would be awesome.

Don't mark as read when clearing notification.
Clearing the notification from the pull down automatically marks the text as read. It would be nice if I could remove the notification but keep the message unread to remind me to check it later as notifications get crowded and I can get to the texts at a later time. Essentially the same way the stock samsung messages app treats clearing those notification(s).

Search For Settings
Have the option to be able to search for keywords in the settings to access the right setting quicker.

App to App connection
If the person you are texting also has Textra it would be neat if the app instead of always useing texting use app to App connection (like Kik or iMessage) that way videos and images can be sent faster along with text.

transparant bubbles
Would be nice with an option to have transparent bubbles, with a setting for the transparency. Combined with custom backgrounds it would be a winner

Maintain Quick Compose Convo
Have the option to keep the quick compose conversation open after sending a single message.

Constant Conversation Access
Have the option to maintain the conversation within the notification drop-down menu so that you can still go back to it and send another message after your initial reply without having to re-open the app entirely to say something more.

Conversation filter
It would be cool to have a filter for message searching. You could tap a button and have the message list sort by date/time (normal), alphabetic (?), amount of messages, starred contacts at top, etc.
