  1. SS-like Heads Up Notifications

    Creating a style for the heads up that is similar to Samsung's heads up for notifications. Pops towards the top of the screen, displays who messages, and then closes itself back into a small bubble. Multiple animations for the notifications/heads up are always a plus.

  2. Set time to send.

    It would be great if you could add the ability to set the time and day a text was to be sent like my Samsung Galaxy S4 had.

  3. Backup Blacklisted numbers list with Google account

    It would be great if the Blacklist list was backed up with our google account so we don't have to rebuild the list every time we install Textra. There are over a hundred in my list.

  8. different kinds of blobs

    the blob emojis have changed throughout the years, from 4.4 to 7.1.
    what I'm suggesting is to have an option to choose which version of the blob emojis to use, (and if possible, make it per emoji customizable ?) currently only the latest, flatter ones are supported. long live the blobs !

  11. BUG REPORT

    When I receive a text and clear it via Notification centre, it flags the SMS as read. ( to clarify- Textra is leaving the message marked as read because I did not actually read it when clearing the notification).

    This does not happen when using the stock messages app.

    I am updated to the lated ver.
    Phone model is samsung s8
    please fix this.

    It would be a cool idea to add chat heads to textra to be easier and that we can keep the conversation going in the chat heads. And it would be better to quick reply also

  13. THEME: Fluent Design/Frosted Glass

    Microsoft, Apple, and many Android app devs are starting to use this design scheme. It's gorgeous and appears to be lacking in the Android messaging app realm. Many of the most popular and gorgeous Android music players have this theming option now, and I believe Textra and Chomp SMS would benefit greatly from incorporating this sort of theming option into their design.

  15. Selection Tool

    Currently you can only copy the full text of a message. it would be nice if you could select parts of the message to copy. For example a lot of services send messages with codes, it would be nice if I could just select and copy the code instead of the whole message.

  17. Every considered multiple levels of plans?

    I'm sure this has been a topic and I'm sure it wouldn't be an easy thing to implement. I'm a mega texted, 99% business and just migrated from an old blackberry 9930. Your app is amazing, but there are some things it doesn't do that I wish it did and would be happy to pay for (1x or going forward as a higher monthly).

  18. Toggle "show date"

    Maybe something a little closer but not the same as iPhone or Facebook Messenger date stamp.

    Purely aesthetics.

    I feel like almost all text messages have a date stamp, I don't mind when a stamp is visible separating messages that are either by day or when there a bunch frequently sent around each other but not every one.

    If I really want the date sent recieved/sent stamp info I should be able to long press or side swipe the text

  20. Popup message

    Please improve on the popup feature. Have a separate window popup over whatever is being done instead of just in the notification bar. Also have it turn the screen on and popup when the phone is not on.
