Latest contacts should appear when composing new SMS
I just talked to a friend on the phone. Then I started composing an SMS to send him my bank account. I should have seen his name on the top of the list of recipients. This was the case with my previous SMS app. You could give the user an option to display either the latest contacts or the favourite contacts. Please implement this idea.

quick reply conversation thread
keep quick reply conversation thread like Android messenger does. When using quick reply you can see a thread of the convo in the pull down notifications.

Textra bot can't do tips when signature is activated.

Show a preview thumbnail of links and if the link is of a video, allow playback right within the thread. Like in Facebook Messenger.

for 2 usable sim card textra dont show dual sim card option for sending sms,,, It's seems like a backdetad.. now every smartphon is run by dual sim,,and ITS important textra never show from dual sim which sim recived this sms.. it's not like smartest

It would be good to be able to have an automatic signature for particular contacts. For example for my wife I would like kisses to be added automatically on each message.

Do not mark as read when notification is dismissed
A message should not be marked as read when the notification is dismissed. Sometimes user dismisses a notification just to hide its content or maybe just to see what is under it. There is already an idea open for adding a "Mark as Read" button to the notification. I think this idea is related to that.

Disable auto rotate
when I turn my screen off while typing a text and lay my phone down, then cut it back on, Textra rotates to landscape and takes a second to figure out it needs to be in portrait and switch back before I can resume typing. It would be nice to have a disable auto rotate feature in the app itself as I don't want to completely disable it on my phone all together.

there's an app called invi sms at shows when other users are active on the app when they read your messages and when they downloaded the app

Default/System Heads-Up Notification
Include an option that will allow users to use their device default (or system) heads-up notification. Not all users like Textra's own heads-up (tap to reply) notification.
