  1. extra safeguard for sending your text to the wrong person

    must be more than one send button that allows you to double check what you're sending and who you're sending it to. I've been in a big hurry and I've written out a text assuming it's going to a person and it ends up going to someone else because I didn't check the top

    Please make this a customizable setting. Have my sound up to hear incoming then get blasted by a raindrop, and over and over again during an active conversation. I know this is already a submitted idea, but I wanted to highlight how important it is. The raindrop is my single biggest issue with this app that is otherwise awesome

  5. Add search and filters to blocklist

    currently if you inadvertently blocklist a text and don't know the number - it is lost in hundreds or thousands of numbers to search through. you can't filter by most recent to find it and you can't search for text or a name to find it. It's Newark impossible to locate again once blacklisted for anyone who has a long list.

    Filter capability would make it easy to sort by most recent and a search would allow you to check when you realize you aren't getting a friend's text messages and may have accidentally clicked blocklist on their number at…

    There are no directions on how to use Keep. It doesn't make much sense to have an option that we truly dont know how to use. Also how do we make them private?

  7. Add more emojies for received messages

    Give us more options for quick responses to received messages. The ones you offer do nothing. A heart ♥️ is the only one worth having. You need one for a smile ☺️, cry 😢, sad 😔 heart broken 💔 laugh 😂 etc. I think you get the point.

  8. Have a way to refer back to messages

    It would be nice to type a few words and it take you back to the messages with those words, like Facebook Messenger has. My mom passed away and there are text messages between me and my son that I don't want to lose, instead of just locking them, which doesn't do much good.

  10. Mass delete/clean out spam

    If the spam can't be filtered out, maybe a mass delete option to trash everything from an unknown number. Don't need hundreds of political texts and 2FA msgs hanging around.

    Add a menu item to display only unread messages or at least list them first. Then you can select 'Mark as read' if you wish.

  12. Emoji Prompt

    i used to have Version +Messenger. i loved when i would type in a word like "dog", i would be prompted to choose a dog emoji if i wanted. it was such a handy thing instead of scrolling through emoji types (faces, objects, flags, etc) and then many screen just to find an emoji that represents "party" for example.

  14. add motion blur at 60 hz and turn that off at 120

    at 60 Hertz it looks kind of jittery so maybe add mild motion blur to smooth it out? And then when it detects 120 it can turn off the motion blur?

    add a feature that sync messages between devices with Textra installed. I have multiple devices and it would be helpful if I can receive messages on any device that I am currently using.

  20. Blocklisting should delete chat

    There should be a setting to automatically delete the chat when you blocklist someone. I couldn't figure out why all these political spam texts kept showing up even after blocklisting. You have to go into the contact and blocklist and then delete the spam text manually. It should be simpler.
