  2. Encrypt communications between Textra users using Open Whisper Systems cryptography.

    Open whisper systems is an open source initiative audited by top cryptographers to further the use of cryptography in everyday communications and to better protect our privacy. The technology is even recommended by Edward Snowden.

    Google just launched "allo" which incorporates code from 'signal messenger' which is run by Open Whisper Systems. Despite this I don't exactly trust Google to not share my data, and not many people use signal messenger.

    I think it would be really cool and provide real additional value to the app. Meanwhile it also incentivises more people to use Textra, and more people to stay…

  3. Search Options

    I feel the follwing should be added to the app:

    1. Better search options, current search gives the latest msg on top this is very inconvenient if I am trying to find my salary credit amount. If I search for 'salary' my salary credits should be shown first starting with the latest credit and then all other msgs with the word salary

    2. Option to search within a conversation or msgs from a particular person

    3. Option to mark important so that it is easier to find like starred in WhatsApp

  4. Unread msgs options

    A few things that can be added and should essentially be there in a any messaging app:

    1. Count of the unread msgs on top when the app is open or on the particular msg thread

    2. Clear differentiation between read and unread msgs(keep them bold if unread). At the moment if the msg notification is swiped then it is marked as read which doesn't make sense at all

    3. Option to mark msgs as read or unread

  6. Stop Stagefright protecting all my videos

    I know it's trying to protect my phone but it's literally doing it to every single video i receive and when I go to my system messaging app the video is perfectly fine. Please fix this, thanks!!

  7. Texra fo Samsung Gear S2

    I love the fact i can customize text and notifications. Unfortunately i have to use the default messaging app. Yet there is a work around for notifications. However i would like to see the messages and/or view on the watch. Please, if you can, start development for tizen os. It will be wonders!!

  9. My MMS is not sending vids

    I try to send a video through Textra MMS and it reads invalid error ....bit when I use my original app it sends fine ......since I chose Textra as my preferred app I would like it to be just as efficient by allowing me to send ...since I did purchase the app.....Please Help ....very dissatisfied

  17. show contact name for contact number sent in message

    Messages like missed calls have number of person that tried to call us. It would be great to read contacts and put name of contacts beside his number shown in message.
