Please consider would help out currently had to download another app to do that tonight. Thanks for your consideration.

Would like to have a similar ability to save frequently used text to that in Chomp.
I know that in Chomp it is (or at least was when I used it a while back) possible to long click on a previous message and save that text to a pasteboard-like folder where it could be saved for future use. I found this feature to be very handy and would like to see it included in Textra.

Selection copy background color
I'm using the black theme, and when I'm composing messages and want to select and copy/cut text, the background of the selected text portion is dark gray. Really hard to see!
Could you provide a different selection background color for the dark theme? Maybe something dark blue?

Text templates and/or shortcuts
I would like to be able to set shortcuts so I can, for example, write "zxc" and it will change to "good morning sunshine :) xo" or simply have a quick access text template selection bubble from which I could choose from frequently used it pre-formed text messages. If this is an existing feature, by all means show me where it is. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 with 5.0.1 if there are any stock services available that you know of. Thank you.

Update the Quick Reply interface to incorporate more Material Design
For quite a while now, Textra has been leading the pack on the UI front as far as SMS apps are concerned (as your app description on the play store boldly reiterates). But with Google Messenger, what will soon be a stock app is beginning to get ahead of the curve. And one of their most impressive features is the recently added Quick Reply interface. It looks great, is very snappy and does not remain open in the multi-tasking menu like Textra's Quick Reply window often does.
IMO this is something Textra should definitely replicate (albeit consistent with its own…
