  1. scroll to top of the message.

    Simple button that let's you scroll to the first message from a contact. Make it so once you scroll up a little up arrow button pops up in the corner or something similar.

  5. Restore deleted messages.

    Like WhatsApp, should you delete the app or messages sent or received. Textra should have a restore feature where all the messages can be brought back.

  8. Option to hide notification content (lockscreen) from unknown contacts

    Currently, online banking TANs, Google Verification Codes etc. are all visible on the lockscreen unless you chose to hide body for ALL messages (which I dont want).

    Please add an option that would mark notification content for new messages as private/sensitive (so its hidden on the lockscreen) for contacts that are not in your phonebook/contact list by using VISIBILITY_PRIVATE with Notification.Builder.setVisibility()

    This way chit-chat is visible on the lockscreen, but TANs and other security related stuff would be protected.

  11. Aggregated Conversations

    Ability to see messages from individual conversations from people within a group conversation. With my carrier, responses from group messages come in individually and are put into single conversations, making it difficult to keep the conversation straight. It would be invaluable to not have to switch conversations.

    Most other lesser sms apps have this feature. We should be able to have light and dark mode changed automatically by setting times. Come in devs, make it happen!

    If you type out a message and leave the screen, that unsent message should automatically put to the top of the messages, labeled as a draft!

  16. Choose apps that receive floating notification

    The floating notifications are great but there are some apps that I don't want to be interrupted for. It would be great if we could choose to disable the notification for specific apps.

    In theory, this would also prevent new messages from showing on the lock screen if you use a third-party locker app like Go Locker or ZUI Locker.

  18. Double tap to open app from pop-up notification

    Would like the option to double tap the notification pop-up to enter the app. Also, if I'm doing a quick reply, would like the option of double tapping there as well. Sometimes I'll be halfway through typing a quick reply and realize I want to send it and then another to the same recipient. It would be easier than tapping the Menu button and tapping Open App.
    Otherwise an AWESOME job designing this program. It's amazing how many programmers miss the mark, and you guys are bang on. Keep it up!

  20. put contacts in a group

    it would be great to have several groups in the app, opposed to the stock groups. that way you can colour coordinate certain people and send to a particular group
