  1. dot of a different color next to texts that are READ but not REPLIED TO, as opposed to just UNREAD

    Often, people read a text but forget to reply. Having a colored dot or mark next to conversations in your inbox where you are not the last person to respond will minimize forgotten texts. This is similar to the dot currently appearing next to conversations with unread texts.

  3. Send and receive MMS messages with captions as one message.

    When sending and receiving MMS messages, the picture and its caption are separated into two messages instead of being all in one. It would be great if this was fixed!

  4. Increase the size of contact icons both in the message thread catalog and when you select a thread

    Make the icon for contact photos (if the contact has one) larger. Closer to that of Hangouts. There is quite a bit of wasted space. If the contact does not have an assigned photo and initials are set, randomly change the color of the contact icon circle like in Google's People app.

  6. option to delete locked messages when deleting whole conversation thread

    sometimes i lock certain messages in a conversation and when im finally done with the conversation and want to eventually unlock and delete them, would be great to not have to individually unlock each one before deletion (which it seems is how it currently is). other text apps just have a popup when you try to delete the conversation thread asking if you want to delete locked messages too (so with one confirmation you can delete all the locked ones, rather than manually unlocking each one)

    All the contact icons in one theme color look quite boring. Please give an option to have different color icons for each contact just like in Chomp SMS.

  15. Voice recording thoughts

    Love this feature but I had some ideas that I borrowed from the app WeChat which also has a voice recording feature:

    1) While recording if you want to cancel the recording slide your finger up
    2) Some sort of way to listen to the recording immediately when you touch the wavelength icon without it opening up a new screen and then pushing the play button.

    I've been an avid ChompSMS premium user, but I am loving the work you're doing with Textra. Please keep it up!

  19. Utilize the proximity sensor to avoid waking the screen when the device is in your pocket when "wake screen" is enabled.

    It is really annoying to find I have sent random replies to people because the screen turns on in my pocket. Most any other app that wakes the screen automatically uses the proximity sensor to check to make sure it isn't in the user's pocket to decide whether or not to wake the screen so as to avoid this scenario. Thanks!
