Secure Folder with Hidden Access + Flexible Call/SMS Blocking
I would love to see Textra include a secure folder for private chats. To keep it truly hidden, the folder could only be revealed by typing a password in the search bar. This would ensure maximum privacy and security.
Along with this, having a hidden Whitelist/Blacklist option would help users manage contacts more easily.
It would also be very useful if number blocking could apply not only to SMS but also to calls. To make it flexible, users could simply tick the options they prefer:
Block calls only
Block texts only
Block both
These features would greatly enhance privacy and…

delete unsent message
there are times that I've typed a long message to only have a reply come in before I send it. it would be very nice if there was a way to discard that message rather than backspacing it off or trying to highlight and cut it

Group text threads into folders
I'd love an option to create folders as a way to organize texts from different contacts. For example, I could make a workplace folder where I could find all of the text threads I have from coworkers and supervisors. That way those text threads don't clog up my recent texts. A real dream would be that one day a folder could be automated to group all authentication texts from businesses so I don't need to delete them in order to avoid that same clogging issue.
Thanks for your consideration!

Please please please. Need an option to block all messages not in contacts. We're dying out here in a tidal wave of spam!

better integration with maps to send location?
I don't know how difficult it would be but two things where Google messages really shine is RCS and sending your location
I understand that RCS is difficult but how difficult would it be to have a feature to allow someone to have live location access or to send your live location to someone?

Tabs to Separate Contacts from Non-Contacts
With Spam texts becoming more and more frequent, it'd be nice to have a tab where I can view friends and not have spam texts filling up that space. Even deleting them barely makes a difference because they're so frequent.
So ideally there are 2 tabs, where the first shows messages from people in your contact list (and any group chats where you have at least one member in your contact list), and the second is everything else.
The tabs would be at the top, just below the toolbar, for ease of navigation, with a switch in the settings to…1 vote -

Migrating Emails from HostGator to Google Workspace
As businesses grow and seek more flexible, cloud-based tools, many are opting to migrate emails from HostGator to Google Workspace. While HostGator offers basic email hosting, Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) provides a powerful ecosystem with Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, and Meet, making it ideal for modern collaboration and productivity.
Migrating from HostGator webmail to Gmail ensures better email security, mobile accessibility, and real-time integration with other Google tools. Teams benefit from cloud-based email hosting, larger inbox capacities, and built-in spam protection. Additionally, Gmail’s intuitive interface and organization features like filters, labels, and priority inbox help users stay focused…

MDaemon to Google Workspace Migration Simplified
As businesses move toward more modern, cloud-native solutions, many are choosing to migrate from MDaemon to Google Workspace to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and improve data accessibility. While MDaemon Email Server has served as a reliable on-premises solution, it lacks the scalability, real-time collaboration, and integrated tools that Google Workspace offers.
By switching to Google Workspace, organizations gain access to a full suite of cloud-based productivity tools, including Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Meet, Docs, and Sheets. These applications enable real-time editing, secure file sharing, and remote access from any device, making it ideal for hybrid and distributed teams.
The MDaemon…

Migrate Emails from Rackspace to Google Workspace for Enhanced Collaboration
As more businesses shift to cloud-first productivity platforms, many are choosing to migrate emails from Rackspace to Google Workspace to streamline communication and improve collaboration. While Rackspace Email offers basic hosting, it lacks the advanced integration and real-time tools that Google Workspace provides through Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet.
By making the switch, organizations benefit from cloud-based email, secure file sharing, calendar integration, and collaborative editing—all accessible from any device. The Rackspace to Google Workspace migration process involves transferring emails, contacts, and calendars while maintaining folder structures, metadata, and user access rights.
Successful migrations require proper planning, including…

Filter for Unread Messages
I don't know if I'm just overlooking it, but it would be great if I could filter for just the messages I haven't opened yet (ie. see unread messages only).

text to email
Every other app allows you to send a quick text message to an email address as an sms. If you send a message of any size to gmail, it automatically covers it to an MMS, making reading the email a pain. This is completely unnecessary. Just keep it as an SMS message.
