  3. Undo button while drafting messages

    All too frequently I draft a text message, then accidentally erased a portion of selected text. An 'Undo' feature or button would help recover deletions by mistake. It's 2020 and I've never seen this feature in a texting app. Be the first!

  4. Group Message Notifications (Android Notification Groups)

    https://developer.android.com/training/notify-user/group

    Most other apps are collapsing a group of notifications but Textra isn't making it feel behind. it's hard to see other notifications if there is only Textra icons in the bar. using the Android notification groups (API level 24, Android 7.0+) the notification experience can be easily simplified. thanks.

  6. Notification counting that works with android status bar badges

    Most social media count up the number of new messages a conversation has and android is able to display a "badge" in the status bar icons' bottom right with the number of new messages. Textra just has the icon, even when we've received multiple consecutive messages from a single person.

  12. improve search old messages

    If we could type in the name of the person and a word of the text.

    currently if you type in the name it'll bring up all the text from that person.
    or if you type a word that you're looking for it'll bring all those words from everybody. but if we could search by typing in the name and the word and it finds that specific text that would be great.!

  14. Color selector

    I'd love to be able to use a color selector (similar to Instagram for matching colors in photos for text) to match colors to the theme I have set for my phone or photos, etc. Particularly when setting bubble colors and theme/accent colors.

  18. adaptive text size

    when entering power save mode some devices will change resolution and also therefore change the text size. I would think you would be a good idea to be able to change your preference text size have profile one profile to that way everything changes automatically when I change from 2k to lower resulting in power save mode

  20. Save favourites emoji

    I would love to have a tab in the emoji section where you can save your favourites.
    There are so many emoji, and I use maybe 30 of them very often. I'd love to be able to save them in a dedicated tab so I don't have to endlessly scroll to find them if they're not in the "last used" tab !
