Bigger notification
Notification is only 2 lines. It would be great to allow it to be higher and display much more information and buttons.

Please bring back the personal dictionary
What happened to the ability to save words/names to a personal dictionary? It's so annoying to have to ALWAYS retype friends' names that are spelled differently than Textra 'thinks' they should be spelled.

More Customizable Colors!
Please allow for even more customization, such as message text colors (currently only 4 options), perhaps font styles/bold, italic, etc., and more customizable conversation page theme elements would be awesome.
A big reason why I stick with textra IS because of how customizable the app already is, so please capitalize further on that niche!

Option to search uncensored gifs
Currently, the only way to have uncensored gif searches is to root your phone. It would be nice if Textra could add that as a built-in opion

offer ability to customize a groups Avatar using an image from gallery.

New iOS 13.2 Emojis
Apple released their newest update in October 2019 with 398 new emojis. Textra needs the iOS update for their emoji package.

No notification and Mark as read for specific words
I receive a ton of spam text messages that always have the name BELINDA in all caps, I am definitely not Belinda and I definitely don't want to click the links for her 500 dollar Amazon gift card. it would be cool if there was a feature to mark as read and disable notifications based on a wildcard in the body

Ability to change the word color Textra on the notification.
With a black Textra theme, and Night mode on Samsung, the word is hard to read on the notification, so I would like to use the secondary color for the notification alert.

Would it be possible to implement an away message function? So say for instance, you just want a break from everyone, but you don't want people to think you're ignoring them. So you set up an automatic message to send, until you turn it off.

MMS Lock issue 7.0 - Force service restart
For the MMS lock issue, a Textra enhancement could notice the android version, carrier type, message failure and then automatically trigger a restart of the android service causing the issue. A cell phone's purpose is primarily for communication, so if the service restart causes a temp outage with other applications, that is acceptable. If this is really a sticking point, it would be a simple matter of making the service force restart a user configuration toggle switch in the settings menu.

It would be great to like or send an emoji /like to messages received.
Along the lines of iMessages or Verizon Message plus.

Only show starred contacts in the Share To menu
When I share something from another app and I select Textra, it shows a list of all my contacts. I would like an option to only list my starred contacts, so I don't have to search or scroll the list.

I would like to be able to have randomly chosen colours for contacts but keep the same theme colour and conversation bubble colours
