Message confirmations
I'd love to see a little message under my sent messages that show message is sending and message delivered when it's completed to the recipient. If possible the ability to also show the message was seen by the recipient would be amazing.

need to be able to black list by domain, meaning I get text messages from ie outlook and hotmail that only allows to block just that address. they have unlimited address so really no point unless you can block sms&mms by domain.

Auto Delete Texts BY DATE
I suggest allowing the user to choose to delete texts by volume and/or by "days passed since read". We already have the option to choose "Messages to Keep" per conversation (ie. keep only 25 sms per convo, etc). But I also want to be able to auto-delete texts once a certain number of days have passed since seeing the text. Meaning: I could say "Auto-delete all read texts older than XX days". PLEASE allow me choose as low as 1 day-----that's what I want to be able to do, ultimately). Note that it is important that the app should only…

There should be a different symbol for a group message
Right now it's too easy to confuse a group message with a message to a single person. I have on several occasions sent messages to both of my roommates instead of just the one listed first in our group conversation. I wish there were a clearer indicator in the message list that it was a group message. For example, the option to have the circle always have the number of people for all group messages. Or have group messages have several smaller circles instead of a single circle.

Repeat notifications quit working; delayed notifications
After upgrading from a Samsung S8 to a S10 with Android 9 aka P or Pie, my notifications were delayed by minutes or hours or sometimes a couple of days. And repeat notifications for Textra, which I use for work notifications, are gone now as well. I am posting the things I tried that have been advised on the Internet, but that didn't help:
o Shut off and leave off for 10 minutes then restart. At least initially this seemed to work, at least for Textra, but the repeat notifications on Textra didn’t work.

Alex-tra (Textra + Alexa)
It would be awesome if there was an Alexa blueprint/ability to interface with Textra, allowing one to have their incoming messages alerted by Alexa, saying there's a new notification of a message from Jane Doe, then Alexa asks the user if they'd like the message read out loud.
It would also be great if the user could ask Alexa to compose a message to so and so, sending and receiving messages or Textra alerts hands-free at anytime or anywhere around the house!

Textra ability to interface with a desktop for remote texting!
Textra is already the best messaging app there is, hands down. But if it also had a built-in ability to interface with a desktop computer wirelessly/remotely, giving one access to Textra from a computer so they can receive/send/read texts on their screen without having to keep picking up their phone... Textra would be on 🔥FIRE🔥
Sure, there are third-party apps that can do this, like Pushbullet, but they're finicky at best, error prone at worst -- they won't work, or messages received will only show up on the computer or the phone but not both, etc.

Block messages by content
I see various similar ideas already but I would appreciate the ability to block messages according to their content. The most flexible way would be to allow blocking based on a regex match but I understand this might not be ideal for non technical users. Still, block based on regex would be perfect for me, especially if I could review the blocked/filtered messages somehow it needed. Please implement something to help us filter out our SMS spam. Thanks!
