SD Card Storage
Both my wife and I are Premium users. We bought the app because we wanted to support an app that we liked. But then we ran into a problem. The app can quickly take up a lot of storage space. We want to be able to change the default storage location to the phones SD card. I have searched the data base of requests and there are many others who want this feature as well, yet you continue to ignore your users requests. We don't want to "back-up" our text messages. backup
please implement an backup option for messages. I know there are many other options, but I somehow trust your app more than just some random SMS backup app.

PC Client
It would be amazing if there was a PC client for Textra so that I could log into Textra on my PC and it would show all my texts from my phone as well as allow me to send new messages. All messages sent/received could still use the phone, just that the client would show it on PC.
I would be honestly willing to pay an additional fee on top of the ad-free cost if this came to light.

new features for black listing
- black list messages by a filter word like i can add some words and if a incoming message have that word it will be blocked
- set any message from unsaved contact to be slient
- change blacklist response like to only slient the message with notification or show message in inbox without notification or complete removed message and show message in a special black list folder. user should be able to choose from these three options

Ability to make swipe optional
As someone who doesn't really use swipe functionality, it gets kind of annoying. A lot of times when I am scrolling through a text, it's a bit sensitive and it thinks I'm swiping and exits the text.

Add name spelled differently
Textra seems to only recognize when spoken to Charlie but my son's name is spelled Charley. How do I get Textra to spell it correctly?

Schedule Message: Send in ___ Minutes
For "Schedule Message" rather than picking hour, minutes, am/pm let the user quickly delay the message for a set number of minutes. User types in number of minutes, enter, send, and message is delayed. Timer defaults to the last used interval.

small dividing lines for dark mode conversations
basically just maybe grey or customizable colors for the little maybe 2 or 3 pixel lines between conversations while in dark mode because they all blend together when it's just black. I prefer using the lime green color and dark mode as the contrasting colors make it super easy to read in any light

Icon/Themes/Saving
previously when i had Textra, you could choose the color of the notification icon the same as you can the app icon. the different app icons are cool but id like if you could still choose the color.
id like to be able to set a theme based on the contact so when a friend gets a new number ive updated their contact info with, my customized preferences automatically follow through without having to do it again.
id also absolutely love to have the settings save to an account so when i reset my phone or get a new one…

Custom Notification Sounds
I am on a list of people who can get emergency text messages in the middle of the night. I would like to be able to customize did notification sound for that particular source of text messages. maybe Textra already has a way of doing that, but I haven't been able to figure it out. if there is no way to do it I would like that to be a future feature.

Linking to maps when address is sent in message
When another person tells me to meet them somewhere and sends me the address, I have to manually copy and paste the address into the Maps application instead of just clicking the address from the message screen and it auto populating.

Backup and spam
A backup option in Google Drive is a must needed feature. Also a feature to block spam sms by root is needed. For example if I block AB-WXYZ, someday later sms from CD-WXYZ comes. You get the idea? I'm trying to say that blocking the main root of 'WXYZ' is needed. And even when messages are restored from the Cloud, those blocked roots should remain blocked and should not be restored.

Remove Ideas After Implementation
I think you should remove ideas after you have implemented them in the app.
Looking through the list of "Ideas" is disappointing when it appears that you pay so little attention to them that when you add a new feature, it is left on the Ideas list (presumably because you do not look at the list).2 votes -
Have the option to keep your Number private!!
I've been using textra for as long as I can remember and love it buttt.... The one thing that I would personally like to have is the choice to keep my number anonymous like my phone calls are, Plz consider this option and then I feel that it would be complete!!!
