  2. Make Textra work with new Google rules and limitations

    Google has announced a new Play Store policy meant to prevent intrusive Android apps from collecting call log and SMS information from users' devices.

    I would like to Textra maintained the status quo acording to new restrictions and rules.

  8. Widen out text speech bubbles

    please widen out the text speech bubbles so they're not so narrow and the text doesn't seem so long and take up so much vertical space. The speech bubble should fit the entire screen from left to right so you can have more characters speech bubble not the few that is allowed. the speech bubbles kind of look like a cartoon with the short little lines. thanks a lot. Great app.

  9. delete messages options

    I have set to "keep all" messages. based on situation, I may want to delete messages older than x days/months to try to shrink the app.. for certain people. within a convo, the only choice is to delete one by one. no real options when wanting to delete backward.

  10. save media to phone but NOT in the app?

    app size just keeps growing to incredible size.. delete unnecessary convos, clear cache regularly.. finally just had the idea to delete media from convos, which had a drastic impact. since I have the setting checked, images are saved to my device. ...why, then, are they also saved within the app itself? could it be an option? like "save media to device/do not save in app" or "save media to device+save in app".. even "do not save media anywhere" I guess.

    also, when deleting then manually from within a contact.. there's no select all. selected 632 photos/videos from that contact, individually.

  12. Notification sound.

    Could you please include an option to make a notification sound every time you receive a text message. I have noticed that if you have the app open or it is currently on your screen, it does not make a notification sound. I have missed many text messages because of this. It would be very helpful if you could put an option to have a notification sound play every time you get a message, regardless of being in the app, or having it open. (excluding silent mode of course). 🙂🐈

    Contact groups that you could apply the same notification settings to all the contacts within that group instead of applying those settings to each individual contact.

    when sending an MMS message, it would be great to have the option of having a text box underneath with photo so that a message can be added so that when it gets sent it sends as one message instead of two separate messages. other phones have this option and would be great if textra added this feature.

  15. Scroll Bar

    I write long messages. Scrolling through already written message means placing your finger within the body of the text to scroll... but often this will highlight the text, replace the text bar, or even bring up the copy/paste mode. I would love a traditional Windows scroll bar either above the plus sign or send arrow. Even an expand button to allow your 'edit/message window' to go full screen. Thanks.

  16. Quick Reply window constant.

    When you get a msg and open it in quick reply to read it, having the quick reply window stay open even after you turn the screen off so you don't have to go into the app and open the conversation again.

  20. WhatsApp or iMessage ??

    hey:) I have a question.
    how come it is possible to send high quality video from WhatsApp/iMessage and not at all possible on textra ??
    I use texra everyday but when I'm filming something and wants to send it to a friend I have to use WhatsApp (I'm using android) Google Nexus 6p.
