  1. Always notify when phone screen is turned off

    This happens quite often, I'll be texting somebody, hit the power to turn off the screen, and put the phone in my pocket. However, I don't get a notification when they text me back. I'm guessing this is because the app is active, even though my phone is not active.

    iPhone has added some new emojis. All are visible except chopsticks and frisbee. If that could be updated that would be appreciated.

  4. do not disturb

    Have a do not disturb feature for driving a car. It could be linked to blue tooth, and activated when a car is connected.

    It could send a pre-programmed message to whomever is sending a text to the phone.

  7. I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP, PLSS

    I am a dumb stupid teenager, and as dumb stupid teenagers do, I locked myself out of my phone. One of the last few text messages I sent myself contained my phone password in it. And like the idiot I am that's the only place I wrote down my password... It's on a phone I can't get into now, because I don't have the password. Please, if you're able to go back through my texts, help me. I'm about to lose all of my pictures and information on my phone because the only other way to get the phone back…

    Would it be possible to customize the size of the notification icon in the future? it seems to be much larger than very other app notification icon. Looks so out of place!

    Don't adjust time stamps to reflect the current Time Zone the phone is in. Retain the original time stamp of each text.

    on my windows phone , yep, I said it, windows phone :-) cortana was superb, she recognized you had a bluetooth in and ask if you wanted her to read a message, then ignored or read it after listening to your response. you could also promp her to send a message, she prompted you for the recipient then prompted you for the message, then read the message BACK to you and asked if you wanted to change it, send it, you could tell her to cancel at any time during the process.   15. able to add pictures to your profile

    I think we should be able to add pictures to not only our profile but to others. so that when someone texts us we know who it is.🤷‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. We should also have a ringtone for when someone sends us a text.

  17. Padding in text.

    I stead of having the text edge to edge, allow a setting for padding. Like, none, padding 1(which is small), padding 2 (which is medium) .

    Also, allow if we want the user icon to be in the text message or not.

  20. Tasker plugin

    Tasker will lose the ability to SMS thanks to Android Pie permissions. I propose Textra builds a plugin that interfaces with Tasker to allow it to continue SMS functionality.
