  1. Contact's notification sound plays when MMS message received and data not on

    I don't keep data on all the time stop if u receive an MMS text, all I get is a very very short sound alerting me the MMS text has arrived and I need to turn on data. Consequently, I miss these MMS texts because I don't hear the very very short sound unless my phone is out in the open and it's totally quiet in the room.

    Would it please be possible to have the specific contact's configured notification sound play? If not the configured setting, what about the default text notification sounds or some other much longer sound?

  2. Able to Chat while phone is locked

    I think it would be really cool if you added a feature where you could text people back even if you hadn't unlocked your phone. I've always wanted to do that with an Android

  3. Improved Contact search

    Improve the contact search function so that it more accurately finds the correct person you're trying to message. When i want to message my wife, Valerie, I have to type out the entire word Val to find her. She is the only contact in my Phone who's first name starts with a V. When I type V, my friend Adam is the first result (he doesn't even have a V in his full name). I also have my wife as a pinned conversation so that's another item that should be prioritized.

    be able to select text to read out loud for the partly blind or those really long text messages in the sub menu.

  6. CHANGE WHEN COMPOSING A MESSAGE TO SHOW ONLY MOBILE OR CELL PHONE NUMBERS.

    My last text on this I made A HUGE ERROR. I have 978 contacts and all except 11 of them are showing Cell not Mobile numbers. Please Fix

  7. Change when composing a text message to show Cell numbers

    I think I sent this but not sure I know I've sent several reasons by email and by this IDEA POST. I think I have 198 cell phone numbers and only 11 of them are listed in my phone as mobile. it would take me hours to change all those numbers to mobile and it would probably be a flick of a switch for your techs to change to show either Or mobile OR cell phone numbers only when composing a message. if you can't fix this I will look for another app. I do like most of the features…

    It will be great if you make an option to add number in black list in case when i dont have message from this number (deleted accidentally for example)

  9. notification thread

    Textra used to do this but now it doesn't but stock Android messages does. so when replying to messages with Android pie the messages used to stay in the notification bar until cleared so you could reply repeatedly from the notification. all the messages exchanged would stay in the thread in the notification bar. idk if I turned this feature of our of it was removed

  15. Scheduled Sending no longer working

    I am a Pro user, and Scheduled Sending is no longer working. You pick the future date/time, and when that time comes, it doesn't send. It's been like this for two days now. Please help. I am using version 3.48.

  16. integrate with Android messages for the web

    Textra is an excellent text app, maybe the best, but lacks a desktop or web client. Android Messages is a crap text app, but has web integration. You have gaps, they have gaps. Formula for a great marriage. Call it Adrian.

    double tapping to delete is annoying, can we set it to a swipe motion like many other message apps?

    Option to delay messages by a few seconds. This would help prevent sending a message by accidentally clicking the send button and help prevent sending messages to the wrong person.

    Great App! And I love how customizable it is 👍 But would you please add an option to customize left and right "swipe"? All my other Android settings are "delete on left swipe" and "archive on right swipe" (though I like other options on right swipe as well). It feels much more natural to me to left-swipe for delete.

    Also, as I just saw when I was about to post this, please offer the option to auto-delete on swipe rather that swipe and click. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!👍😊
