  3. Thread Merging

    I have a couple of group text threads that are to a lot of the same people (1 person is missing from one of them which caused the app to create a separate thread). I would love to be able to merge them into a single thread. Hope you guys can find a way to. Make that happen.

  4. Configure Emoji Per Contact

    It would be ideal to be able to see emoji on a per contact basis. Some of my contacts use iOS, some use Android Oreo, and some use older builds of Android (Blob). I'd like to be able to see the actual Emoji they will be receiving depending on which contact I'm sending to so that I don't have to dig into the settings menu to change the Emoji theme every time I want to see what an iOS user will see.

    This would need to be a setting I define because there's no way to know what the contacts…

  5. Bubbles and text messages bouncing into place while scrolling up or down

    When you are in a conversation within the textra Message app if you scroll up or down the bubbles and the text received and sent bounce into place just like on ios iPhone. If you could add that effect it'd be so great

    The default android text app lets you add a custom image to the text window background. It would be awesome if Textra allowed you to do that as well.

  8. Quick MMS/SMS toggle

    Most of the time I want to use group MMS messaging. Sometimes I want to send one message as bulk, and it is annoying to have to back out of messages and go into settings, send the message, then remember to put it back to MMS.

    Would be nice to have a check box or toggle when composing message to change behavior from default on demand.

    Placing Emoji Outside of Text Bubbles just like all other text apps. Even Plain "No Frills" Text apps allow it.

  11. Color change for 1 person

    Rather than every time you change the color of One Person's Theme color having to change the one on your home Screen, Let the App theme Widget Color Stay the same. Changing it just because you changed it for ONE Person is Ridiculous.

  12. MMS file limit commission per contact

    my carrier does not have a file size limit for pictures and other mms messages, but a select few of my contacts do. I would like to keep my global setting on "unlimited " but change the select contact to have a limit

    When sending to iPhone users, texts are split and often sent out of order. Would be nice to see the character count so we can be avoid sending texts that are too long and split up.

  17. A Bit of a UI Change

    I hope you'd do a bit of a UI change on the message composition box. Kinda like the ones on iPhone's messaging app or on Facebook's messenger app.

    Also, I hope you'd port a Nougat-like quick reply function for phones running below Android 7. 🙏🙏🙏

  18. Textra app for Wear OS (Android Wear)

    Hello! I have recently gotten an Android Wear watch and I noticed that there is not a Textra app for it. In order to text using my phone number from my watch, I must change the default texting app on my phone from Textra to the stock app. I live Textra and want to use it on my smartwatch. Thanks

  19. No sound notification

    Amazon Alexa interfers with sound notification from Textra. Turning Alexa off allows notifications again but then of course you don't get Alexas reminders, etc.

  20. Sent Messages

    when you have the "show when message is sent or delivered" toggled on make it so the "sent" on your message bubble disappears after ~5 seconds of being sent

    maybe long press after the "sent" on the message bubble dissapars to show it again to confirm users of their sent message
