  1. Deleting multiple messagesat a time

    Overall this is a very nice app. One thing that I feel needs improvement is when you want to delete most but not all messages from a contact. You can delete entire conversation or click one message at a time to delete several. When deleting a couple hundred messages but want to save several this is very tedious.

    Please allow select all within conversation to delete with the ability then to unselect the few that are to be saved.

  5. FORCE DEFAULT SMS APP FOR OPPO PHONES

    Hi Textra Team. My previous phone was Samsung and I was using Textra for a verrryyyy long time because I love everything about it. I recently changed my phone to OPPO F7 for some reason. I immediately downloaded Textra to replace the default messaging app.
    However, OPPO forces me to use the default messaging app.
    Can you make some VERY STRONG option to FORCE TEXTRA AS DEFAULT SMS APP? I really want to use Textra. I still keep it downloaded on my phone hoping for this feature on next updates.

  7. camera flash

    there are times i go to take a picture straight from textra, but when it is dark i always have to go to my phones camera app to take the picture with flash. would be great if the app included the flash capability when taking a picture

  8. Grab dates to create an event in calender

    It would be awesome if there was a way the app would recognize when someone texted you a date, say for an appointment or get together, and you could click it to go to "Create an Event" in whichever calander you're using, with the information that was in the text already filled in (date, maybe time and location). It's the only thing I miss about my old messaging app, but I love this one still!

  10. Snooze conversations for specific times

    Our phones have the ability to snooze notifications during specific hours (ex: many people turn notifications off when they go to sleep).

    It would be great if we could turn certain texts/group chats off at certain times. I am in so many group texts between school and work. I often have to turn my whole phone off during "do not disturb" hours and miss messages from friends asking to unwind or check in. I'd love to be able to turn certain threads to silent from X time to Y time so I can continue looking at my phone, but not…

    THERE IS NO OPTION TO SET SMS AS A REMINDER FOR EXAMPLE IF WE RECEIVE CREDIT CARD BILL PAYMENT SMS THERE MUST BE OPTIONS TO SET AS REMINDER

  13. No Fancy Themes

    I disliked so many text programs that came with themes, wallpapers, emotion suggestions... ahhh!

    I vote that there also be a "Thumbs Down" for voting on ideas.

    There are tons of fancy programs out there for those purposes. Don't fix what isn't broken!

    This 8 gig J2 Prime has WAY less room than my 2013 Stardust did!

    Never thought I would need an SD as is.

    Keep shrinking it if you can.... well... I know that cannot happen however, do not add all the frills. To a lot of us, that means a lot.

    And feature to show OTP nice and BIG in notification and even copy it.

  15. Lollipop: Please don't discriminate. MMS & MOBILE DATA ON/OFF

    I just upgraded from a Stardust to a Galaxy J2 Prime. The Stardust was 39.99 in 2013. This J2 Prime was purchased April 2018 for 127.99. A lot for someone not working.

    I am on Safelink and (We still have to pay to upgrade phones.)

    This newer, costlier model still runs Lollipop, & I'm seeing apps ignore us. I am very sad to see Textra's "Turn on and off mobile automatically after sending MMS" only working with Marshmallow now?
    I cannot even receive an MMS without Mobile Data on always.

    I know I am on Safelink thru T-Mobile, and there…

    My phone almost freezes and what I put as a reply just seems to free float above the rest. So I have to copy my reply, exit, get back in, paste my reply, and hope it works. VERY AGGITATING. My advice is is to fix it.

  19. Send as new

    'Send as New' doesn't… At the moment it is little more than 'copy & paste' with no send at all.

    There must be a fair number of users who think that messages will be sent automatically, as is implied by the function name. And so forget to manually send what may for them be an important message.

    May I suggest that a time-delay be added to the function that will automatically send the message unless the user edits the message.
