Notification icon count is wrong
I love the fact that it shows I have messages waiting, but the number is always wrong. It consistently shows that I have eight more messages than I actually have. If I have one message it shows that I have 9. If I have 3 it shows that I have 11. Yet if I have no messages it still shows 0 like it should. Can't figure out what's up.

auto theme contacts
would suggest and option to only auto theme contacts in group messages instead of it changing every text color.

Lock the Contact
To lock every single text you send people that are so important to you that you dont want to accidentally delete them, is cumbersome to select them. Then eventually have to De-Select hundreds to eventually delete them. So why not just have a way to "Lock" the entire conversation with just one click????

Notification window
Would be nice to have a larger text notification display so I can read everything as it comes in and not just a few words.

Copy and Paste Editing
On a recent update the ability to copy only a portion of text instead of the entire text was removed.
This causes a problem when a 2 step verification code is sent to my device because the message will usually contain other words that are not part of the code, and all I really want to copy is the only part of the message that matters. It also makes forwarding messages cumbersome when I have to delete the part of a message that is not relevant to the next receipient. PLEASE bring this functionality back!!!14 votes -

Nickname support
When we add a nickname to a contact, it would be great to see it instead of firstname/lastname on Textra and its notifications. Other messaging apps can do that : Facebook Messenger, iMessage, etc.

Video Support in Gallery
Gallery currently only supports photos. I suggest having support for videos as well so we don't have to share it from the Gallery app. This will save time and I'm sure a lot of customers agree!

Unretarded Date Format
Is it so damn hard for you to dev the adjustments for date format? So that user can choose their own preferrable settings? Your format of month/date/year is retarded, and by any definition is not used widely by people of the world.

Keep image metadata while compressing them for MMSs
Camera apps (may) add some metadata to images, including location coordinates. Currently Textra loses this while compressing the images to fit into the set message size limit. I'd appreciate keeping the location coordinates.

Google REPLY looks like a great App alright, but it doesn't seem to work with TEXTRA. How can we sync that with TEXTRA?

YES YES YES to backup-Encryption?
I'd so LOVE to see the option to backup SMS/MMS to an external drive (PC or SD card)...
You're going to lose marketshare to Signal, Telegraph, etc. without the option to encrypt messages. I trust you're working on both?2 votes
