Add Message Count Option
I'd like to be able to see the total number of messages in each conversations.

it should be an option on composing a message on whether it goes bulk or chat. so you don't have to keep going in settings to chg it

Additional Fonts
It would be cool if you add more fonts to the app. Obviously, the only two choices are the Textra and System default fonts.

the ability to groupe texts
for example, if im texting 3 different people about meeting up to study and i don't want a stupid group text. i could have a category labled study and in there would be all the different convos going on about studying.
or if im trying to sell something, i could have a category labled sell and could have all the different people im texting inside that category.
it would make it so i wouldn't have 20 different text convos all in one messy screen.1 vote -

Driving Mode
texting and driving is everyone's nightmare and harms those who do it and those they are near. other texting apps have a driving Mode that allows you to switch it on and auto-reply to the texter saying "I am driving - please call if you need to reach me" or something like that

MMS 'Cannot get MMS' Notification - AGAIN!
This seems to happen Off and On with Textra.
I'm with AT&T Wireless and I live in Southern California. Yes, I've read the Knowledge Base articles - all the settings are correct on my phone.
I get this error message with incoming and outgoing pics sent via MMS. If I switch to the stock app that comes with Android Marshmallow no problems.
The problem seems to go away and come back AGAIN after Textra updates.
Are other seeing this? Textra aware? Care?
I really like this app but would love it if Textra would clean up the code for MMS…

Settings backup
I just got a new phone (the Samsung S8, which is a great phone if anyone cares) and I'm having to reset all the settings and personalizations...which is a pain. Why not allow Textra to back up these settings to Google Android back, or have a way to export the settings and personalizations for contacts?

Color wheel for notification icon
It would be fantastic to add the color wheel for the notification icon. There are currently 3 white icons in the set somehow, but no color wheel. Please add this!!! not the only one asking for this. The app used to have hundreds of colors for the icon. It's only fitting that the icon have as many color choices as the contact color.

Save for Later (Reminder)
Make it possible to save a text for later. For example, if you don't have time to answer right now, you can set a reminder after x minutes.

quick reply text save
when typing a message in the quick reply notification it would be nice that if you wrote half a text and then tapped on the message to go to the full app, what you already typed would still be there ready to send

Hide message preview
Have an option for hiding the text until it is clicked on. For example when you receive a message, notification will just say "Contact: text message" until clicked on and opened, then it shows the whole message. Good for privacy if you are showing someone something, then they can't read your messages when they're delivered.

Backup sms/mms
Provide method to backup all conversations and images/media to cloud account. This would allow users who get a new phone to download all their conversations so they aren't 'lost' on the old device.

Quick texting fix
When you drag down the text that was received and start quick typing on the dashboard, when you click the arrow to send and miss it, the text isn't saved into drafts. I was hoping there could be a fix to this as it leads me to never using it because a long text can disappear. Love the app! Thanks for your hard work.
