Change Send Delay Back to Rotating Circle
please revert the change to a progress bar on the compose box. It looks awkward on large text messages and the circle around the canceled button that replaces send worked just fine

Recent contacts
suggestion and its very important.
why i can not text immediately to someone who just called me and asks me to text him something.
i should be able to go to textura and write the message then i should see from a pull down menu (Recent calls) then i just click on his number from recent calls, because he called me recently.see how Samsung/ T-Mobile does it.
because of this feature i am using Samsung text as my default.

Group Messaging Customization
Instead of getting a group message notification from the lock screen, let us have the ability to split up the individual messages from each person so it is easily viewable. So instead of seeing a group text notification that says, "7 messages" and then I have to pull down to see more, I can just see all of the texts right there ungrouped so I can just scroll through the conversation on my lock screen. So annoying how I have to pull down to see the entire conversation from my lock screen.

Mark Read On/Off Toggle
Right now, when you swipe to clear a Textra notification from the bar, it marks that message as read in app. How about an additional setting to toggle that feature off so that when you are trying to keep a clean notification bar, you can still find the messages unread in the Textra app.

Display contacts by nick name
Hi,
I have added all my contacts on my phone, with their real name, and then utilized the nickname field. It would be nice, with a possibility to show contact nicknames instead of their full name.

No notification while playing music
I switched from chomp sms and one of my favorite features was ability to turn off sound notifications while playing music.
Extremely annoying to hear my music cut off every time I get a text.

Swap the cancel send and confirm send button locations
You should swap the location of the cancel send button and the confirm send button. I keep confirming the send of my texts that I misspell or want to cancel because the cancel button used to be where the send button is.

Option to Remove Override
Please add an option to remove the override delay sending button.
It's too close to the cancel button. I much prefer the previous update and wish I could revert it.

Keyword SMS Blocking
It would be awesome if we can block messages contain chosen words. Like betting sites messages. Because blacklist is not blocking the messages which don't have number.

Scrolling Text Field for picture in picture mode Galaxy s7.
The galaxy s7 has a picture in picture mode where one app can be in a small in a smaller frame while another app is being used.
I use this feature when watching videos so I don't have to leave the video to reply. The problem is that when I type a message while in this mode the cursor can leave the viewable text field and I am not able to see what I am typing.
There is no way of scrolling the text field so I just wanted suggest that this feature be added. I know this a niche…

Option to change icon's secondary color!
Please add the option to choose the secondary color of the icon on the home screen! Currently the only option is white (except for the white icon) but it would be nice to have the ability to combine some dark colors as the secondary color with other lighter icon colors.

Compatibility with Signal (Rich encrypted messages over internet)
Make Textra a client for Signal by Open Whispers Systems. The Signal app is open source and allows to exchange files and messages with end to end encryption as well as calls and video calls.Textra could be used as a replacement of Signal or work with the app, or an add-on. This would be an equivalent to iMessages, messages over internet (in case of poor cellular connectivity) with SMS fallback.

Wi-Fi texting
being able to send text over Wi-Fi would be awesome. carriers like iPhone n T-Mobile already have this feature. That way when in locations with absolutely no service but available Wi-Fi could still text others

Customize "Send Notification Sound"!
I'm all about customization! And the only thing that I find missing (weirdly) in this app is the only sound you can't customize! The default "iOS style" send sound! I always have wild ideas but for my Tennis partners I'd love to have 2 different sounds of balls being hit so sending messages to organize the next meet-up would already be like playing! Just for example's sake of course but the sky is the limit if you can unlock this function! Please? :)
