Full size picture previews
like the default messaging app on Samsung, it would be nice to have the option to show full size or near full size previews of pictures sent to you on the app.

Set group chat as favorite
You should be able to set a group chat as a favorite so when you use the 'Quick Compose' option to send a text, you can quickly tap the group you want without having to search for it

Make Textra looks like the iOS 11 Interface...
....or just create an alternative theme
With a centered contact pic above the name, have a blur effect on the contact's name, and why not have the conversation which begins on the top of the screen like iOS or Samsung.20 votes -

Hide/archive
It would be great if there was an option to hide/archive specific messages and use a code/password to access those messages so that when you get important messages you can keep them but safety too as well

Auto Away Message
I think textra needs an away message, not only can you switch it on if you are in class or sleeping etc... but also if you are just feeling anti-social. "Hey, I know I'm posting to social media, but I'm exhausted from human interaction. I still love you, but I'll get back to you in 3-5 business days." That just seems a lot nicer than ignoring someone.
I know you have a drive mode one, but I really think this is helpful!

Search within specific chat
I'd like the option to search for messages within a specific chat/message instead of searching through everything.

Archive Message Access
Please allow Textra the ability to retrieve archived messages. When I transferred to a new phone my old messages were automatically archived. The stock messaging app has an option to "Allow Archive Access" and I can see my old messages. But not with Textra... and the archived messages were done with Textra on my previous phone! Would be great to see those messages in my conversation histories.

MMS is broken? Leave Textra
Textra removed legacy support- Tmobile and others require you to receive MMS through data. Textra is now pointless if it can't turn off Wifi.

iOS Liked/Loved/Laughed Intercept
Intercept messages sent by iOS users when they like, love, laugh, etc at a message and turn them into emojis.

Please provide a setting to always show the timestamp next to messages
I want the timestamp to always be shown next to each message. I currently have to swipe left on a message each time I go into a chat to accomplish this. Please please please please (please!) add a setting so that the default behavior is to show the timestamp next to each message (or just remember the timestamp state from the last chat). I'm really surprised you guys have not done this yet, since I've seen a bunch of other complaints about it in the reviews. Thank you!

i would like to say that font color from dark to light color option should be there for fun and as a designer that will make it diamond in sms apps.

The ability to italicize or make words bold.
How about the ability to italicize words or make them bold to stress a point. Use a lot of texts for work and would be helpful.

Be able to add or remove group members to an existing group so the whole thing doesnt have to be recreated every time.
