    chomp sms is the' sister's app for textra. it appears as if chomp may be the first version of the two while textra was developed to improve style and feel. textra has less options (edit , customize, colors ,etc.) but operates smoother with a trendy simplistic feel yet highly customizable compared to the average stock messaging app.

  4. Swipe to delete message

    It's bad enough you have to swipe to delete but then you have to click delete twice. Just let us swipe to the side to delete it. I don't want to have to push a button twice after that. All the other apps do this. At least put it as an option so we can choose.

    Since many phones no longer have a blue led blinking light to show you have a message would it be possible to make the screen flash on and off or even the camera flash continually until you open the message?

    If you had a app to swap to ios or android, combine files from both into one updated. and store a backup then you will rule the smsand contacts world.

  10. Copy one word out of received message

    Why can't I copy one word, sentence or code out of a received message?
    The only option is copy the whole message into something else then extract the code, number or words I want or flick between this and another app typing the code as I go. Really frustrating and I've been using this text app for years

  13. Ability to see main page messages as an incoming or outgoing

    I'd like to be able to see who in the conversation has sent the last message. When I'm looking at the main screen, I can't tell if I'm the last one who replied or vice versa. It's helpful to know which messages I've read but haven't yet replied to.

  14. easier access to frequest contac

    I have a big phone and it would really be nice to have the option to keep your most frequent texting contacts on the bottom of the screen so you do not have to reach up to the top of the screen each time to select the person you want to text when using you phone with one hand .

  17. Incrementing counter as signature on sent messages

    Issue - I occasionally send texts that never make it to the recipient (issue with the mobile carrier or apple messaging, who knows..). But that person never knows they missed a message.
    Solution - for each message conversation, have a counter that is appended at the end of each message (like a signature), that increments by 1 for each message I send. That way if person I'm texting to sees for example 38 at the end of a text, then next text its a 40, they can ask me to resend.

  18. Voice Memo Update

    I love the voice memo. but it seems the only way to turn on is to have it near the send button by default and I've accidentally recorded memos, not great if you accidentally send them when i didn't know i was recording! how about keeping that feature but allowing it to be buried with emojis, gifs, timed sends, etc..?

  19. Adding More Contacts to Existing Group Chats

    Right now we have to create a new group chat to add another contact to it, but the messages of the old group chat don't carry over. If it was as simple as adding another contact to existing group chats it would make life easier.
