  2. Start view at first unread message when opening a conversation

    Opening a conversation always brings you to the bottom of the conversation at the newest message. In conversations with a lot of new messages, I have to scroll back up, find the last message that I read, and then work my way back down. It would be nice if the default view when opening a conversation started you where you last left off. Similar to WhatsApp.

  3. 2 Visual changes to conversations overview

    1. It would be awesome if we could add a coloured bar or dot somewhere in line with a conversation rectangle (what appears in the list of all convos when opening the app), which matches whatever you set their accent colour too - especially useful if you have a contact picture which obscures that colour already.

    2. It may be nice to have the ability to change how all these conversations display or are listed together, like bubbles or a grid size of one's choosing, instead of just a vertical list sort of view.

  4. Scroll-Select Multiple Messages + Select Messages on Calendar Date(s)

    I am not seeing any mentions of this idea yet, and I think it belongs on Textra. Its always so nice when apps allow you to Scroll-Select of whatever items are within (photos, emails, notes, etc.). There's an API that allows for long press an item and drag up/down/sideways to select the adjacent items. In other words, you continue holding down and selecting additional messages.

    You can typically do this in your default Samsung apps including your Email, Gallery, Notes, and in plenty of 3rd party apps as well.

    Should be a simple add-on feature, and very useful. Hate having…

  5. Mark messages as Unread and Create Folders

    it would be great if I could Mark messages as unread after viewing them, and also sort by unread messages. I realize that you can pin conversations but that can quickly take up the entire screen. How about being able to create folders for sorting messages?

    It would be nice to have a setting where you could enter the time of day you consider too early for sending messages, and then have the app remind you when you try to send a message befits that time.

  12. Allow disabling notifications for non-contacts

    I get a surprising amount of spam texts. Can there be an option in Textra to disable notifications for all messages except ones from contacts? Thank you!

  14. Toggle Smart Suggestions

    In messages like: "at 3 oclock" or "tomorrow at 5" times and dates underlined for ease of scheduling into calendars, but i find this makes the messages look cluttered and I would like to disable it.

  16. Send Scheduled Text on Repeat

    May I please request an additional feature to scheduled text by including a repeat setting. i.e. Every 'x' minutes, seconds, hour, days, weeks.

    This would be a big help, instead of copy and pasting hundreds of text and setting the schedule on each one. (example would be for my car gps tracker)

  17. quarantine/protect user from accidentally opening messages

    When messages are sent to me, I am always worried about both opening the message accidentally, and allowing the malicious message/sender of the malicious message to retrieve my information (including passwords, etc.) as well as opening a backdoor into my phone and probably a way into my computer, LAN/other networks & servers, making virtually any kind of virus, including ability to monitor and actively access, change, or control anything at any time while remaining totally undetected for months or years. If anyone thinks that they are more protected from attack while using Instant Messaging, SMS and MMS services, think about…
