Exclude Galleries
I noticed that when attaching images Textra will display the entire contents of images on the device. I think it would be a great feature to build in an option so Textra will only look in certain folders or exclude entirely. For the sake of privacy it'll help what others may happen to see if you are sending messages.

Get rid of ads because nobody's gonna pay $3+ just to get rid of ads while there are literally thousands of other messaging apps without them.

Option for Notification
It would be nice if we had the option to be able to answer a text or quick reply when our phone is locked.

a choice in settings to swipe to close conversations or not
it would be great if we had the option to choose whether a conversation can be closed with a swipe of a thumb or not... I prefer not, but several times a day, I accidentally swipe a conversation closed

Delete people from conversation
You should be able to delete people from a group text. If you accidentally put in a number that you cant text from...then you have no way of knowing which number is wrong and you can't go back and delete numbers to correct it if you do know which one is wrong.

Shorter Names
Setting in 'customize look' subfolder. Displays only the first names or last names of contacts. Useful for group chat lists and simplifies the look of things.

Positionable heads-up notification
It would be great if the user was able to choose the position of Textra's heads-up notification. For example I would like to be able to set it to display in the center of the lockscreen thereby displaying over the top of the default android notification which pops up when receiving a text in Textra. Mood sms app currently has a similar option and it works out quite well.

turn off conversation mode
I would like an option to turn off the conversation mode and have a TRADITIONAL INBOX, sorting messages strictly by date and nothing else.
Conversation mode can come in handy, but some users also appreciate the simplicity of a chronological inbox.1 vote -
change inbox size independently
Be able to customize the size and layout of your inbox independently from the font size of your messages.
As for now, you cannot for example have a small font in your inbox and big letters in your messages.
On the whole, more customisation options would be very welcome in this department.1 vote -
