Show color names
As a colorblind person, it would be really helpful to see the name of a color in the color picker. Others have suggested a more robust hex color picker and I support this, but if sticking with the limited palette, perhaps long-pressing the color could show its name.

Move Sim Card Button
the SIM card selection button shouldn't be right next to the text box, it should be in the conversation options menu. it's way too easy to accidentally switch sims while texting.

automatic text after call attempt
would it be nice if when I call someone and they don't answer, automated text would be sent out to say for example " i tried calling"

Individual response
It would be great if in a group chat, one could respond directly to an individual at anytime within that group chat.

cannot search existing contact for new message
For some of my contacts, when I go to "new message" and search for them, nothing comes up, as if I do not have their contact details. so I then have to manually search for the last time we texted to find them. this has always been a problem and is really frustrating

Stop repeating receipt of a text
I'm getting the same text repeated several times. it would be a good idea if this didn't happen!

auto popup keyboard when opening text
please have keyboard auto open when opening a message thread. Chomp SMS does this (which is the same company that made textra). Also when I am watching a movie, the popup notification is cool, but can you keep it in landscape without forcing me to reply in portrait?

In samsung s10+ and above we are facing the trouble of not showing all messages when we shift from the default sms app. And when we using textra is problem is vise versa.
On the next update please and the sync button or refresh one!

create a toggle switch that will group unread msg threads to the top, making them easier to find
