  1. Improved search functionality

    Within the search menu it would show an arrow pointing (diagonally) down & left for recieved or (diagonally) up & right for sent beside the message. It would also display the name of the person who sent it under the chat name (for groups). Additionally, you would have the option to search through specific chats or all chats.

    This is my idea to make searching for messages easier because it can be a bit confusing as of right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

  2. "Silence" notification action

    I'd like to have an option in the notification to silence the notification. In effect, it would stop any further ringtones or vibrations, but still keep the notification in the notification drawer. I found a way to do it with the Samsung messing app, but not Textra. This is useful so that I can make the text quiet, but that it still reminds me I have one in the notification drawer. Thanks!

  3. move or optional hide for SIM switch icon

    I have a dual SIM phone with 2 SIMs and I am constantly hitting the SIM switch icon on accident all the time since it right next to the SEND icon. Can you possibly move the SIM switch icon somewhere else and/or give the user the option to hide the SIM switch button if they only use 1 SIM for texting?

  9. Diferent color for each sms' Sim CARD

    hi team,
    as many of us have 2 Sim Cards on our smartphones (professional number & personal number), it would be great if we could quickly make the diference between SMS or phonecalls coming from each one via diferent colors for example. Not only the mention "SiM1" versus "Sim2". Wondering for that because I just made, one More Time, the misunderstood: I called back a colleaguemate (Sim2) with my personal one(SiM1). Arghhhhh...😖😖😖 so my personal phone is not private anymore....🥴🥴🥴

  10. Always-on Screen LED replacement

    On new Samsung phones, there is no longer a little LED in the top corner that you can set to flash a certain color when you get specific notifications.. However there is an always-on display feature that will show some things occasionally (or all the time) when your phone is locked. Is there a way to use that feature to emulate the LED notification that is no longer in existence in newer phones?

  11. Hide Texts from Undesirables Without Blocking

    I would like the option to make texts from particular people invisible to me without actually blocking them. I would like to be able to go back at a later time and read their texts if necessary

    Just like there's the media section to find pics and videos. it would be nice to be able to find web links easier within a text with a separate section just like media.

    not sure why the first thing you see when opening the app is a new message, but it really shouldn't be. any way to make your list of messages the first thing like every other text app would really be appreciated. rest is great.

  15. A small but good feature request

    Add Blacklist option in the notification actions. It will be easy for us to blacklist a message straight away from the notification window and hence no need to open the App. Thank you.

  19. Please, please, please: more custom symbols for notifications

    This suggestion / request is about as simple as it gets:
    I love the app, but in terms of how many unique symbols we can assign to separate contacts, your selection is very, very limited, surprisingly.

    Pleeeeaaaase, give us at least another 15-20 choices for symbols. Past those 20 symbols, a great idea would be to just add simply the option to assign an uppercase letter as a notification symbol. That's an extra 26 right there. The symbols are ultimately way more important to me, but it'd be great to have even more options.

  20. this is the 21st century. add other members to an existing group.

    How hard can it be, for crying out loud, to add other members to an existing group message? Nobody seems to be able to do it. It would instantly be the top group messaging app available.
