  1. Single button to silence all notifications, both sound and vibration

    As an emergency physician, I sometimes need to take a nap while I'm on backup call. I need to be able to receive phone calls, but I don't want the phone next to me to wake me up with Textra notifications, either sound or vibration. When I set the notification tone to "None" and Vibrate Pattern to "None" it still vibrates with every notification.

  2. Automatically delete old messages

    In addition to limiting number of messages per thread, also allow setting to delete messages older than X months.

  3. Lines between messages in message view

    Hi, please add the ability to turn on divider lines between messages in the messenger view (like iMessage and Twitter DMs have). Having the ability to toggle ON/OFF and include the line color would be help break up the messages dnd it keep the view clean and organized instead of cluttered.

  4. on/off switch for MMS

    Some networks charge you MMS rates for including emojis in your text messages, and don't include them in your monthly contract allowance. It would be useful to have a setting allowing you to switch off MMS messaging so you don't get charged extra, or at least have a little icon or sign come up to say "this message will be sent as an MMS" so you can decide whether or not to edit it before you send it.

  6. Texts from Favorites always at top of list

    How about the ability to bookmark certain contacts (favorites?) in order to pin them to the top of the message list?

  7. Delete message from notifications

    It would be great to be able to delete messages from notifications bar when the preview is seen and they do not need to be stored. This would be helpful with messages with security login codes as I find after I have the code I end up with a lot of messages I don't need that I forget to delete.

    I send a text message to my bank account every day at 5 to check my balance, would it be possible to set a scheduled text message as recurring so I don't have to send it everyday.

  12. Seasonal Notification Icons

    Wouldn't it be great if we had seasonal Notification icons? Like a 🎄, ⛄, or a cross for Christmas? A 🎃, witch, 👻, vampire for Halloween? 🐰 or Cross for Easter? There's more of course but couldn't fit them all.

  14. Color Favorites + Contact Group Colors!

    I use chat colors to organize a couple different things like work and bots (like 2fa and stuff) and itd make it a lot easier if we could favorite colors or set colors based on contact groups! Instead of needing to scroll through and try to remember which exact shade you used for the rest

  15. message scheduling like in Chomp

    Would like to schedule messages for repeats like you have in Chomp. Repeat daily,weekly,monthly, yearly, etc. I used Chomp for many years and loved that feature. Switched to be able to blocklist the annoying multi number spam porno text messages.

  16. Improved timestamping

    When receiving multiple authentication texts from papal within a couple of minutes, the timestamp at the top of the message history is for the first message. It would be nice to have the timestamp visible above each message to indicate the exact time sent. Dave

  17. Needs to have my more personal opinions

    • Customize bubbles
    • Add background to any chat or front page
    • Having a backup text option
    • Being able to have react
    • Seeing reaction on both ios and os
    • A way to send Multi texts without having to make group chat at one shot.
    • Make groups folders
    • Themes would be nice
    • More icon choices
    • Block spam
    • Have unknown folder for numbers not added to contacts
    • Being able to read the text out loud on chat, pop up and notification (option)

  18. Directly to the app when clicking on a notification

    Whenever I get a text message and a notification, I select the notification wanting to go directly to the app so I can respond. Yet Textra only allows us to respond using this weird overlay in which I can send only one message. Please add an option to send me directly to the app upon clicking on a notification!

  19. support for tablets

    Hey! Currently I have to use the built-in messages (samsung) app in order to text from my tablet through my phone.
    The tablet acts as a proxy for the phone so I can call / text from there.
    Please add support!
