    you need to be able to add someone to the blacklist without them having texted you first. right now you can only add to the blacklist from a received text.

  2. Blacklisted by mistake

    can you add a date to when something is blacklisted? if you got that option by mistake but didn't catch the phone number is almost impossible to find it and correct the error.

    On the icon instead of showing a dot for a unread text. can we have it display the number of unread texts.
    for example a, 4 in on the icon denoting 4 unread

  5. App Background

    We should have the option of choosing backgrounds/wallpaper for the app. Love this app, but hate the plain white or black background.

  6. Block or ignore texts from email

    the SMS span is becoming a real issue but I have noticed a lot of them come from email addresses, it would be nice to have an option to mark as read and or turn off notifications for and and MMS from an email address

  8. Message Sorting

    In general it would be very nice to have "groups" for your messages. I'm not sure if this would display as tabs or what, but it would be nice to have a tab for like "family", one for "friends", and one for "automated messages". that way you don't accidentally send grandma a text at 2am when trying to text your friends. Obviously this would be an optional setting.

    If this is unable to be implemented, then another use along the same case would be somehow sorting out non-friends-and-family texts (ex: "Your prescription is ready!", "New hot Deal 20% off!", and…

  11. Show recent chats when sharing to textra from another app

    the problem is that now i have to select the contact it choose between groups and favorites. But if the number is not in my contacts i can't send sms to it that simple. Please add recent chats to app when a sharing to textra is started. thanks.

    Maybe it can be good to synchronise the Textra's dark mode with the dark theme of the phone or let the user choose when the dark mode turn on.

  16. Line space between multiple messages

    Please add an option to cluster messages sent within a smaller time frame (e.g. a minute) so that the space between them is smaller than when sending messages farther apart (e.g. an hour). its kind of a minor detail, but it irks me how all messages are equally spaced despite sending at different intervals of time. plus, doing so may allow space for more visibility of texts on screen

  17. Quick compose keeps appearing. Annoying.

    Since the last update, quick compose keeps appearing in the notification pull down. I have to keep turning it off. Please fix this.

  18. Add Option to Reduce Group Text Notification Spam

    Every time I turn on my phone after one of my group texts has been going off I get a notification for each individual message. I wish there was an option to silence notifications when they are coming in bulk, eg., if ten messages come in less than two minutes then silence all notifications from that chat. It could even be something as simple as an interactive button on the notification pop-up/menu that has an option in settings which allows you to configure how long the silencing lasts when you use that button. I usually end up blocking them entirely…

  19. Wider Conversation Bubbles

    I have a narrow LG ThinQ phone and I still have lots of real estate to have a wider bubble, even with timestamp room on the side. This would improve paragraph formatting.

  20. Time stamps

    Allow us to change when we get a time stamp after a period of time. when you don't respond for 20 minutes it brings up a big center time and date but no where to change. allow us to set time limits on those; 20 min, 30 min, 60 min etc
