It would be great to have a way to change the "SENT" sound of a message - just like the received sound can be edited.

sort messages by read or unread
I am about to leave Textra because I lose messages that are unread but pushed way down the list. Every other messaging app has the feature to keep unread at the top.

Customize contact details display
For the contact info that is displayed in the header of a text message, the ability to customize the information displayed. For example I would often like the First Name + Company, instead of First + Last Names. Thank you.

delete from notification
Would love an option to delete a message immediately from the notification popup.
We have to verify so many logins via text nowadays. Once we have copied or autofilled the verified code, I just want to delete the text immediately from its notification, rather than opening my app and selecting/swiping each one over time. :)3 votes -

I would like to be able to hold and press a sender's text bubble and reply specifically to that one.

Show images in web preview
When a known contact sends me a web link to an image (or when I send a link to an image to someone) can you please display the image instead of / in addition to showing the link?
It would be great to just see the image someone linked to, instead of having to click the link and view the image in a different app.

Comunity mods.
Make a way for the Comunity to create and share mods. For example, being able to add buttons on the app do do specific actions, or react to specific messages that are sent to the device. Maby to customize more than what's in the app already or to add effects to specific messages. The possibilities are limitless and it would add a lot to this app.

Keep the same text thread when updating a contact's number
We should be able to keep the same text thread if we update the contact's phone number.

currently when someone sends you a contact by a text all I can do is import it. it'd be nice if I could actually see those details and maybe just copy the phone number. I don't always want to import the contact just because it was sent to me

Show the sender phone number
If I get a message from someone who is in my contacts with multiple phone numbers, I want to see the calling number to choose to which number to respond.
Question: If I respond, does my response go to the sender number or to the primary number of my contact?3 votes -

Hello, Today I Learned on this forum that "tap on bubble" open a Textra Menu that offers "copy,..." instead of the Android "Long Press" option.
Reading others feedbacks, I think developpers should show the Textra Menu when I long-press, AND copy the entire text immediatly to save clicc. Thanks for your great work.3 votes
